Pavlik/Martinez: Update

    The two fighters and their promoters have a verbal agreement. Boardwalk Hall is on board. HBO has been informed that it is a go. All we need is signatures from both fighters. Look for an "official" announcement early next week.


    Edit; 2/9/10:

    Horrible stylistic match-up for Pavlik but he should be able to catch Martinez at some stage.He will need to because i don't think he can outpoint him

    pavlik should be too big for martinez, pavliks strength might be the most decieving in all of boxing..

    Great fight, respect to Pavlik for fighting a very tough guy.
    Could go either way, but right now I see Martinez squeaking out a win.

    This will be a good win(about time) for Pavlik if he gets his hand raised and that's a big IF. I see Martinez winning by decision but hey, it's boxing man anything can happen.
