the chance to see Margo beaten beyond recognition and Pavlik get cut up again on the same night might make this disgusting farce tolerable.

Do you have a link to any video of Johnson. There are only a few scraps on You Tube, and I do not recall ever seeing him. I came up with the idea of Pavlik/Johnson by scanning box rec looking for anything that might make sense. Vera and Manfredo make no sense at all.

A good welterweight prospect who is on the verge of being a serious contender. He has good skill, size, and speed and needs a nice step up like his team is talking for the Pacquaio undercard. After this fight he would be a fight or two from challenging some of the best guys in the division.

I honestly think Cordoba will beat Rigondeaux if that fight gets made.

sweet undercard if those 3 are put in there. hopefully kelly might find some hunger and urgency fighting in an undercard. sometimes starting from scratch is for the better. Rigo is always great to watch and Mike Jones is an exciting fighter that needs to be shown more. Looking forward to this.

Arum always talks up his undercards and then delivers ****. Pavlik isn't going to be on this card.

Why don't they make sense? They're easy wins against name fighters. He's not going to stick Pavlik up against a serious prospect. It's just an undercard fight - knowing Bob Arum, he'll stick him in there against some schlub he can look good against. At the end of the day, I suspect it will be John Duddy, that way he's keeping another Top Rank guy happy.

Also, Pavlik's team was talking a 164 pound catchweight. That's right around the ideal weight for those guys.

Johnson is a very athletic true super middleweight. He's still learning though, so I doubt DiBella would take the risk this early, and even if he did, he couldn't make 164, and he's not someone who's going to make Pavlik look good, at the very least.

Why do you think Pavlik-Johnson would make sense and Pavlik-Manfredo or Pavlik-Vera wouldn't?

Which explains why those two opponents are the most likely. You know how boxing works. What makes sense rarely happens.

Because Johnson is from Houston, and I assume he has something of a regional fan base. I just watched his last fight, and I think you are seriously under rating KP. Johnson looks like I basic boxer/puncher who keeps the pressure on. Little to no head movement, walks forward with his downs entirely to often, and generally does not look all that hard to hit. I do agree he might not be able to make 164-165, and I agree diBella probably would not take the risk.

    Vera -- Manfredo -- Duddy:patsch

They might as well dig up Zuniga's corpse!
