He's NOT going on the undercard to a developing prospect and a guy who pops opponents in the balls to win. Hopefully, he takes on a guy who will fight, but not with the speed of a Martinez. Andy Lee doesn't have anything going on. I don't think he try to risk a fight with Lemieux or Pirog right after losing, would he?

it needs a good undercard b/c a washed up cheater vs. pac seems stupid as a big PPV.

Arum should consider putting Omar Henry on the card considering he fights out of Houston.

I'd rather seen him over Jones, personally.

He hasn't won a fight that mattered in years.

His drunk ass should take what he can get.

I'd be less surprised if they did this than have him face someone who's actually decent.

Look at Bob Arum's history. When one of his money fighters loses, he ALWAYS has them fight someone he knows they'll look good against in his next fight. Someone who Pavlik would dominate, possibly even someone who wouldn't have been a legitimate option while Kelly was champ, is much more likely than an X-factor like Johnson.

Also, Houston isn't particularly close to Dallas. Even if Johnson has a fan base in Houston (to my knowledge he doesn't really), it probably wouldn't help much. It's about the same distance as Youngstown to Baltimore. Besides, Bob won't need help selling seats. Pacquiao vs. a Mexican, he could put Betty White on the undercard and sell 70,000 seats.

I don't think at this stage, he has much of a choice, all things considered.
