You ended things? Remember? Hint quoted. Let's keep this easy. One point at a time. My point? You feel that it is OK for Mayweather to cherry pick because you think his cherry is better since Marquez is a better fighter but a much smaller man than it is for Pavlik to pick someone that will enter the ring at the same weight but will be less skilled since having a weight advantage is somehow more acceptable in your mind? Pac is not an excuse because it has been confirmed that Pavlik/Abraham negotiations are underway where as Pac is just a Mayweather wet dream at this point.
If Williams wants to fight KP, he needs to settle down and fight a couple more fights at 160. I don't care if they're only slightly better than Andy Kolle as long as they can make 6-8 rounds before they get sparked. He needs to become a true middleweight. Right now he'd get bullied and beat up against a bigger, stronger, tougher man who throws almost as many punches as he does.
Who ended things and how exactly?, after a good long reply like that I ended things? Our discussion was about Pavlik, you didn't like what you were getting so you twist the subject to Mayweather because you knew you had no answer and even in that discussion you were getting facts you couldn't handle so you resort to calling a catchweight of 144 pounds a welterweight fight and Mayweather is cherry picking the #2 P4P fighter. You also didn't find it ******ed at all to compare Mayweather/Marquez to Mora/Pavlik. :rofl If you couldn't pick anything from my post other than "You ended it" then we know who has no answers anymore. Maybe to you it's a wet dream but to boxing as a whole it's the fight they want to see which is why they fully understand the fight with Marquez, the catchweight and know what's coming next. Mayweather is coming off 2 years away from the sport and is fighting the #2 P4P fighter in his first fight, Pavlik has been feasting on tomato cans as title defenses for a long time now. You tried to make a comparison out of the two and ended up looking terrible.
Yeah, it was Goosen. To be perfectly honest, no posturing here, I think I finally got through enough crap to figure out where those negotiations broke down. Pavlik was slated to get $2.5 and Arum was offering $1.25 for a competitor trying to get a good fight. I read an interview with one of the Williams people that said Arum was being 'cheap' because he had $5 for the EVENT and they wanted him to put more of that money on the table after they found out the total purse for the event. I think they went back and demanded more money after they had argeed in principle to the fight. At the time there was a report that Arum offered another $.25 and Goosen walked away. Reading all that I could and sifting through the BS I honeslty think that is how it went down. No proof, but I think it was PW's manager that talked about Arum having the $5 mill and taking that off the table. Not this bs about Arum taking money back that had been promised. Goosen gambled and lost. Should have known better with Arum. But honestly, reading as much as I have on it, I think that is probably the closest to the truth we will ever get.
Miranda then got sparked by Abraham with a broken jaw, got sparked by Pavlik and got sparked by Abraham again. What's the point really?
Could be, Arum would never tell the truth to be honest and he admitted to being a liar before. He has to go low to promote his fighters, that's what he does for a living and could care less what people think. I also remember that Pavlik was ALSO considering Mayorga, believe it or not but HBO turned that down immediately.
Miranda did not get "sparked" by Abraham in the first fight. He lost a very controversial decision. And my point is that the Eastman win isn't all that great. A guy that could not make the distance with Miranda fought a competetive fight with AA, and so did #43 ranked LuJaun Simon.
I quoted you ending the discussion? You missed that I guess. Not surprising, you seem to miss a lot. No where in this do you answer my single sentence question. Again, a lot of verbage, also know as misdirection. But let me answer yours about Pavlik's career at MW. Locket Mandatory Rubio Mandatory That has been it until last night the Mora fight was signed. Mora first, and so far, only optional Keep busy while in negotiations with AA for November. You wouldn't answer my first question, so let's try another. Kelly took care of his mandatories. Who would you have him fighting while he is in negotiations with AA for November? Here you go. Your chance to prove you are a better promoter than Arum.
My point isn't about who he's supposed to fight, point is that this thread is that his next opponent is another weak opponent who's moving up to the weight. What Arum is doing is pretty clear, he's keeping Pavlik active and protected to secure the fight with Abraham IF they really are planning for it. If this is a discussion about who I would rather see him fight then sure I'll mention some for you who are far better than Mora. Paul Williams, Mundine, Sturm, hell even Manfredo or even Castillejo are far better choices. *EDIT* I edited out all the insulting remarks from the previous post seeing as your last response to me before this one was respectful as well. The edit came seconds after my post. :good
Nine title defenses and Miranda is still Arthur's best win! And don't pull this Pavlik won't fight crap, or I'll be forced to ask you where AA was when KP was calling ot EVERY ****ING BODY in 2006.
Williams had his chance. Sturm won't fight. Manfredo is not better than Mora. He lost to Mora TWICE. Mora is not "moving up." If he is, we'd have to say KP is moving "down" from LHW. That's how much sense it makes to say Mora is a 154 guy.
