It all makes sense now. Haven't seen a post by Vince G in a while. I think they are waiting to come back so he can break the news.....

He personally wants Cotto and Pav.

Cotto gets blown out the water, and Pav... Well, despite what you guys I really think Paul will be able to handle his power. And I don't think Kelly is gonna walk through Paul any more than Winky did. As I said before, Kelly deserves to be the favorite, but he should in now way think he's just gonna walk up to Paul and KO him with ease.

Dawson vs. Williams is the fight I want to see right now.

WTF? A guy that is probably at his best at 154 against a guy at 175?

    That's ****in silly.

He doesn't want to see a challenge. He just wants to see someone who figures will definitely beat Paul.

See the kind of **** people say who don't know a ****in thing about boxing? Paul has to eat like a horse to even weigh enough to fight MW. What the **** he gonna do at 175?

    No news yet?

Well Mora knows what's gonna happen to him if he fights Pav :D . . . so he is probably still into a deep thought about it.

It sucks, cause people want Pavlik to prove himself after the Hopkins fight. He can't do that against shitty opposition.

I can't speak much on Sergio Mora, but there are more deserving fighters. Hermit pointed out why those probably won't happen though....

The longer it takes Pavlik to take on a champ now, the more people will doubt him. I really enjoy his style, but it looked very limited against B-Hop. You could argue about the flu and other things (which are recorded), but I honestly don't think that Pavlik would have had that fight in normal conditions.

He looked sloppy and had the same damn game plan as most of his other fights. Jack needs to get him to start throwing hooks and uppercuts from different angles, rather than just relying on the jab, right tactics.

He has a really good jab, but Pavlik can't seem to throw it unless right in front of them. I wouldn't say he's 1 dimensional, but he still has a limited fighting style at this point. If he can learn some new things, he could surprise many opponents.

Right now the middle weight division is looking very weak right now since there is really nobody in that division no more. Kelly vs Abraham is the only fight that makes since at that weight class but chances are that happening is slim since we all know how negotiating works !

I feel much dumber when I leave these posts sometimes- whether KP fights Mora or not acoording to most things I've heard negotiations are under way between Pavlik and Abraham for Nov. so why the hell would KP take a mega fight with Williams while waiting for his showdown w/ AA???
lets go after the 2 other beltholders in the division to make things fair-They coast by on the Sato's,Loenzo's and Simons of the world, but they get a pas?. Mora is a decent boxer and fomr JMW world champ, who as boo indicated fights as a MW!

Is Kelly doing any prep in case Mora get's signed? It is getting pretty damned close in that regard.

After the Pavlik/Hopkins debacle there were dozens of posters right here on ESB, and several boxing journalists, who said KP would need TWO relatively easy fights to come back from that kind of one sided shellacking. Now that Pavlik is fighting a second easy fight, the same people critisize him for it. That's called hypocrisy.

I do not like Sergio Mora. Consequently my obsessive hatred of the man gets in the way of an honest analysis of his ability. Fortunately Pavlik is apparently taking him quite seriously. Last Sunday when he was interviewed by the boys at On The Grind Boxing Radio, Kelly said Mora is a dangerous fight because of his awkward style, and that he is not taking him lightly.

One another note, I find it a bit ironic that most of us write Strum off as irrelevant. Even though he is the WBA titlist very few of us consider him a major player at 160. Before Sato he fought Sylvester, and he is fighting Gevor in July. In other words, Sturm is fighting better competition than Pavlik or Abraham.

If Pavlik's taking him seriously, he'll want a good 8 week training camp to prepare for him, which means he needs to start training in ... minus 2 weeks. And if he's training, then the fight's confimed. But it hasn't been. So either Pavlik's not taking him seriously, or this fight isn't happening.
