Pavlik/Mora STILL no announcement??? update: done deal update2: undone deal

It is a done deal and KP has been running and doing some padwork, so I wouldn't worry about the short notice. I've been honest about not liking the matchup, but the bikini bar in June YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

 

This is Pavlik's first voluntary title defense. The WBC and WBO will only sanction title defenses against top 15 fighters. Here's the top 10 for each organization. Not a hell of a lot to choose from.

From the WBC list, I would've prefered Golovkin (may be a tad early for that), Karmazin, Miguel Espino or Enrique Ornelas (who I thought pulled it off against Senior Mustachio).

From the WBO list? Golovkin I still like, Sylvester I still like but....what can a do at this point?

Might as well just get this **** over with.

 

And let us hope that some of these young guns coming up prove to be as good as they look now. It is a crying damn shame to see the 2nd most prestigious division in boxing in such sad shape!

 

Yeah it is pretty disappointing. Not even counting that Abraham may in fact move up in weight. If Arthur heads up to 168 without fighting Pavlik, it may just turn out to be one of the biggest shams in recent memory.

 

As the NABF titlist Karmazin is in liine for an eliminator. who would you match him with, and why?

 

As a promoter or as a logical boxing analyst (I almost laughed out loud when I typed that one)?

As a promoter, I'd be hoping as hell for Karmazin to get tangled up with John Duddy. Easy name with a decent fanbase to pillage for a road to the title.

If I was a logical boxing analyst? I'd like to see Karmazin vs Golovkin. To me Golovkin is the next big MW threat and I'd like to see him against a war tested proven name like Karmazin.

 

I think Ornelas is better than Mora. Both fighters are shitty but Enrique is more capable of an entertaining fight. That's my point on it.

 

Here's a thought: Bronco McKart knocked Ornales down twice + Pavlik's 1-2:yikes

 

The thing is Ornelas would at least be courteous enough to find a nice spot to lay down on after a thunderous 1-2 and would bring it before that happened.

Mora will be pedaling more than Lance Armstrong and the kid from ET combined.

 

You're probably right on both counts. I fully expect Mora to be wearing turbo-charged track shoes. I'm hoping KP just comes out all Clubber Lang like, and just tosses Mora into a corner and knocks him out in 1-3 rounds.

 

Well Mustache Antonio Rubio has to move slow to keep his mustache in good shape.
