yeah he can set up the right but he doesn't knock you out with it. he usually follows the right hand with a left hook or left uppercut and thats what puts you to sleep.

I really have to disagree. McKart backed Winky up. Taylor backed Winky up. Pavlik handed both there first KO loss. Pavlik's entire style is predicated on backing his opponent up, and you can bet your last dime he'll back winky up all night long. So the question becomes can a 36 year old Winky win 7 rounds fighting off the back foot against a guy who will throw punches with evil intentions for all 3 minutes of every round? Not a chance in hell.

I don't know what you ment by saying that McKart backed up Winky ... Winky hadn't backed up since the Vasquez fight. And he beat McKart 3-times.
McKart knocked down Pavlik (I have it on tape) and McKart couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag. (Pavlik has a granite chin though he just got caught unexpectedly)

What do you mean that Taylor back Wright up -- Wright backed Taylor up that whole fight (I have that on tape)

Winky is virtually impossible to hit - Hopkins cut him on a but and rarley landed anything. Also Winky has underrated strength also well - but doesn't take the risk and instead just goes for the decision.

oh and Winky's jab is amazing - it would be interesting to see who wins the jabbing contest between Pavlik and Wright

Don't misunderstand me. Notice I differentiated between backing wink up at times, and backing him up all night. Comparing common opponents does not usually lead to definite conclusions about a fight, but on this occasion we have two common opponents, and a total of 6 fights. You seem to know the history pretty well, so details aren't needed. Think about the difference between Winky and Pavlik against those two opponents. Like i said, winky would have to win 7 rounds fighting off the back foot while avoiding Pavlik's right hand. That ain't gonna happen.

    Good point!
I think the fight will be held on the inside because I don't see either of these guys backing up.

Maybe a carbon copy of McGirt v Whitaker - excellent boxing, toe to toe, in the middle of the ring.
Alot of slipping and ducking along with effective countering.

I don't think Top Rank wants it even though it would be great for boxing, especially if it was on ABC. Two classy fighters who are all about the moment and leave everything in the ring.

Don't forget about Winks defense and Pavliks lack thereof
