Pavlik needs Abraham before Calzaghe

he's still young - he could fight calzaghe and clean up middle, he doesn't need to move up permanently

 

in my opinion, aa is in the usa very underrated, i think that he will probably knock out pavlik, pavlik is really good, but he was never hitted that hard, because no one hits like aa. he holds the world record in punching power in comparision to his own weight. i think that aa will brutally knock out miranda before the 9th round

I don't like guys going up and down in weight ... the 6 or so pounds might not seem like much but it could effect how his body performs ...

I'm sure that Calzaghe is at the tail end of his career ... and won't be around for that much longer. He's looking to cash out and fight guys who can provide big money fights.

Kels is young and a good up and coming champion ... there are better fights for him on the horizon once he cleans up the middleweight division.

There's alot of talent in the super middleweight division ...

Kels doesn't need Calzaghe ...

Definitely he needs to fight Abraham and send Winky to retirement.

 

Abraham's punching power is over-rated. Eastman and Miranda both went the distance, and there are no other world class fighters on his resume'. Stylisitcally Abraham would have to change pretty much everything he does in the ring just to survive against Pavlik. Pavlik is bigger, stronger, faster, has superior technic, hits harder and a HELLUVA lot more often. AA fights about 30-45 seconds of each round. Against Pavlik that **** gets ya knocked the **** out early.

 

Sturm won't fight Pavlik.
Mayorga is a has been.
Duddy would make Lockett look competitive.
Winky Wright wants too much.

If Arthur Abraham will probably get cold feet after fighting Miranda this weekend, I declare this division clean!

Agreed. The round after round inactivity, and frequently resting on the ropes or in a corner, is what would have him in big trouble against Pavlik. You CANNOT rest on the ropes against Pavlik!

Against Pavlik you would have to earn the keys to the kingdom by constantly slipping the jab, move and counterpunch, move and counterpunch, all night long. I just can't imagine Arthur doing that.

I'm sure you've noticed Hermit's ridiculous avatar. That got started by some of us joking around about AA having the balls of a rhinocerous. This guy is no paper champion like some say. His willingness to rematch Miranda in Edison's backyard shows me that he is one bad dude. However, Pavlik is a stylisitc nightmare for Arthur.
