I put $1k on Taylor despite musing $1.68 was not good value.

Fight was ok, i wouldnt rate it as the FOTY or anything.

Taylor had Pavlik on ***** street bigtime but just couldnt finish it which wouldnt have taken too much more.

Pav is tough and just gets down to business.

Taylor definitely leading at time but I agree that he seemed to get hurt very easily. either he is chinny (which could be the case due to the wars he's been in) or pavlik hits harder than many thought. combination of both I think but in my opinion pretty disappointing display from taylor. had him gone and couldn't finish him off.

I said it would be a close fight, and a hard one to pick. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds like it was. Good win for Pavlik. Personally I think he would break down AA, but get beaten by both Joe and Kessler.

I thought Taylor looked great, probably his best performance to date.
Pavlik however is a steam train that just keeps coming, that long rangey jab has some serious thump behind it and those 14 inch fists must feel like rocks hitting you, i'd have to say Pavlik is my fav fighter atm... geez i love boxing. :bbb

bad luck nrgetic i thought taylor was winning well on the cards, i had 100 on taylor ud into melbourne 5-6 points lead in the grand final, wouldve collected 2000 dollars which would of been great had taylor had energy and boxed smart, he was ahead by 3 points on my car so for me it was hard to see pavlik winning hte rest of the fight unless taylor folded and collapsed and he did cos he was tired.. props to pavlik but in a rematch taylor will get him and his conditioning is the key

he was fit enough, said he had a very intense training camp. he just needs to let his hands go more.

pavlik will be a better fighter next fight and i see the same ending for Taylor, he should have a tune up before the rematch

There has been talk of Pavlik facing John Duddy for his first defense on St Patrick's Day weekend.
Would be an exciting contest while it lasts.
But yeah i agree if i was Jermain Taylor i would have an interim fight prior to a rematch.
