I cant say Im not suprised that Pavlik took this out, but Im kinda glad he did, I love watching this guy fight. Im downloading the fight now, so I can watch it again. Pav would decimate Duddy. Duddy just isnt on the champion level, he has good offensive skills and fast hands but I dont think the power, chin, defense or all round ability to go to the next level. Watch his fight with old man Yory Boy, he struggled to win it and got bashed badly throughout. Imagine a puncher like Pavlik taking him on, Duddy would get torn up. I rate Taylor-Pavlik II a 50-50 fight at the moment. Pavlik wasnt entirely convincing or dominant but he did wear Taylor down, it wasnt like a shock come from behind stoppage. Though Taylor was probably ahead, he began to wear and got taken out, no reason why this couldnt happen again. He seemed a little deflated after not being able to take out Pavlik in the 2nd. If he learned from the fight and took a different gameplan he could very well get the win, he certainly had a better peformance in the 2nd Hopkins fight.
He is special in some ways but not like the all round special guys like Calzaghe, Kessler, Bhop and Dawson are. The thing I like about him is his flaws, it makes him great to watch. He exposed, somewhat, some d This content is protected As much as Id like to see it, he probably wont be reigning all that long.
Not in ring top ten yet, but Vazquez in #5 :good Cotto #10 atsch soon to be bump out by Pavlik :happy
