Really? Man. I was hoping he at least hurt it in the ring. Staph is a dangerous thing to mess with, especially in a boxer's hands and when you're missing doc appointments.

Smashed his hand through a window is what I heard. Not intentional, an accident supposedly. Lots of stitches and a tough healing process. The hand is in constant use and stretched flesh is slow to heal. Pavlik has bad hands right now. If Floyd had the same, would people be bashing him. Paul Williams will be at the top for awhile and Pavlik will have his day. Until then, PW needs a different challenge.

So it's official Pavlik is one stupid person. I believe he did miss his appointments 3 damn times. This is a damn shame. Pavlik ruined a great fight with Williams. You know he should retired.

Arum is the one who started the ****ing Decmber 5th rumour. Besides, the articel did not say he won't be cleared. It said he has to see the doc again early next week.

And you believe that in spite of the fact that I showed you a conclusive, irrefutable time line that made missing appointments literally impossible. That's not belief, it's delusion.

I don't think anyone really knows what is going on.

Umm, so a few days ago Arum said that there was nothing wrong with Pavlik and he was fine to fight (and that the Youngstown doctors know nothing), implying that the Pavlik camp was not being truthful.

Now we have Dunkin saying that "the people who know something aren't saying anything" which is hard not to interpret as a direct shot back at Arum, who has spoken about it as we know.

Pavlik and Arum look to be heading for the divorce courts pretty quick...

I think you could be right, which will mean even more time out of the ring for Pavlik as we know how long these things can drag on. What's the bet he loses both his alphabets?

I very much doubt the Williams fight happens now this year. So what is Arum's next move? I think he goes back to his previous plan: Sergio Mora. Reports suggest that Pavlik was not enamoured of that fight when initially suggested and he seems not to be the most grounded individual recently, so is possible he would resist that. That could be the trigger. As you say, hope would be that Pavlik doesn't end up in a Kessler/Palle situation.

Don't forget it was Marley at Examiner.Com who initially reported what Arum supposedly said. I told you guys not to buy into that crap!

When we're dealing with direct quotes, then one would imagine Arum would correct it if the quotes have been made up as you claim. But Arum has been quoted saying similar to other journalists, so I see no reason to think they are all making it up.

Apart from the veritable Pavlik fans, no-one's taking Pavlik's side in this. Despite the fact that - and I'm getting tired of saying this - he was the one that conceived of the damn fight, the one who broke the negotiation stalemate and the one who signed the contract, Pavlik's being called a ducker and a runner. So don't pretend your boy's the one that's getting the short stick.

Pavlik would not fight Moron. He's already pulled out of one fight, and according to some reports didn't even bother training for that - perhaps because he was planning to pull out all along. In any case, given that KP's already rejected a list of 4 Mora-esque opponents and plucked a fight with a top P4P opponent out of thin air, I don't think he's going to be taking such a step down.
