Did u read the full post ???? You don't win a national Golden Gloves title if u cannot box !!! ............. know ur sport :deal
On paper I think it looks like a not bad fight .Not to forget Pavlik has only lost to Sergio ( a tricky southpaw ) and Hopkins ( a great slick black American ) .Froch to Ward and Kessler .I think it would defintley end in a ko with the 2 styles .Defintley down to grit and who punches harder .I would favour Froch but with Pavlik in Garcias gym with Rios it looks decent .Pavlik prime was a beast at middleweight I read he had that much power that's why he just plodded forward Rios as well .I read Froch said Pavlik would be a good tune up as well but Pavlik said he'd be no tune up . Pavliks problem is IMO " lack of power " at the weight He's out boxed lesser fighters @160 and worn them out with his pressure , but he's a basic 1 - 2 fighter , he's just too one dimensional for Froch , the blue print is out on Pavlik , if he can't walk you down and put you on the back foot he's cooked , plus .............. he lacks in pure boxing skill , he's got enough get by yes , certainly , but when he steps it up he's found wanting , alarming lack of variation One more big thing with guys such as Pavlik , once the style has been solved and he's been beaten , the aura and self belief goes with it , Pavlik knows he had a huge advantage by being able to make 160 , and the guys in the weight class were smaller and inferior in terms of pure physical strength , up at 168 these guys are scary animals and Carl Froch is one of those scary animals , Pavlik is a one trick pony and that one trick isn't enough to even put a dent in any of the top 168 lb'ers , specially not Froch :deal
