“I didn’t see much out of Abraham,” said Pavlik, the only other fighter to beat Miranda. “The whole time he tucked and rolled and just tried to wear out Miranda. “He threw a punch in the third round that hurt Miranda and then he did it again in the fourth round. It’s not like he threw a lightning fast combo that got Miranda between the gloves. Miranda put his chin out there.”
Close certainly, but I would say 60/40 in favour of Abraham. Stronger chin, more one punch knockout power, better counter shots and probably the better boxer.
Def do not think he is scared. Just all not that impressed. I for one was very impressed. he reminds me of winky wright with power. He will be tough for anyone to beat. Its a shame for miranda taking on two very good fighters before they were recognized as such.
Maybe trying to play him down and convince himself etc. I'm just pretending I know, I don't have a clue really. EDIT: Actually, could be attempting to play down Abraham to convince other people that he's not that good, and that he doesn't need to fight him to prove he's the #1 at MW, so maybe he's trying to avoid the fight altogether.
:nono Power is equal, AA probably has the better chin but Pavlik has the better overall boxing skills IMO. I base that opinion on having seen (6) fights of Pavlik & (4) of Abraham.
I would say Pavlik's power is more accumalative though, he's powerful for sure but seeing Abraham wind up those left hooks, those one shots that knocked Miranda down and that short left on Khoren Gevor. Pavlik has the better jab but he's more predictable and he doesn't have the defensive guard or counter punching abilities of Abraham either imo.
