So we're back to talking about the 2nd round of the first Taylor fight? Pavlik stuck his chin out like a jack ass, and paid for it. He also took 15 shots from Taylor, 8 of them smack on flush! Go count them! He was up at the count of TWO, and still mangaged to throw 60 punches in the round, and that is more than Abraham throws in his best rounds! By the end of the 2nd round, Pavlik was the agressor, and JT was initiating the clinches. And why is it that so many people act as if the 3rd round never happened? Pavlik took an ass beating in the 2nd, and to quote Manny Steward; "He came out in the very next round like nothin' ever happened. (Shakes his head) Like nothin ever happened." And ya, Pavlik suffered a flash knock down SEVEN FIGHTS AND TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO against Zuniga. Fulgencio Zuniga is now the IBO 168 pound titlist, has not lost since he lost to Pav, and is rapidly become an avoided fighter. The point is that anyone who thinks AA can just blast Pavlik out with 1 or 2 shots is dead wrong. Miranda is the only high level fighter Abraham has ever knocked out, and Miranda is a fringe contender with sloppy offense and worse defense. A 35 year old version of Howard Eastman made the distance. He would not make 7 rounds against Pavlik! AA apears to have a head like a rock, and the balls of a rhinocerous. However, when Pavlik/Abraham happens, AA will make number 7 on an ever growing list of guys who had never been knocked out before. With the exception of a very good chin, Abraham has absolutley no advantage against Pavlik. Any who looks at skills, styles, physical attributes, work rate, stamina, et, has to come to the conclusion that Arthur has a punchers chance, no more.
I think what he is saying is that AA didn't do much work. Whereas Pavlik is constantly throwing heavy leather, AA waited until EM opened up and BAM :toney He is implying that if he fights like that against KP he won't win.
I think Pavlik is being honest. He is calling it like he and everyone else saw it. 90% of people gave Miranda the first two rounds and he was winning the 3rd until he got put down.
So according to your post, abraham should not even consider fighting pav:huh You pretty much summed up pacquiao and diaz. AbRAHAM WILL COUNTER PAV ALL NIGHT, DONT TELL ME PAV DOES NOT GET HIT(BETTER COUNTERPUNCER, ADVANTAGE) aBRAHAM WILL ABSORB MAJORITY OF PAVS PUNCHES(BETTER DEFENSE ADVANTAGE) ABRAHAM DOES NOT HAVE A PUNCHERS CHANCE(HE WILL WAIT SEE AN OPENING, boom! nOT PUNCHERS CHANCE, PATIENCE WONT WAIST PUNCHES ADVANTAGE) ABRAHAM BEST CHIN IN BOXING(IN MY OPINION: ADVANTAGE) aBRAHAM WILL ADJUST(AS FUNNY AS THAT SOUNDS) WATCH HIS EARLIER FIGHTS, yoU DONT LOOKED BIASED BUT YOUR POST SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE. 50/50 FIGHT NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS :hi:
I told you guys Pavlik would give Miranda a beating and knock him out. Most of the forum scoffed. I told eveyone who would listen Pavlik KO8 Taylor. 75% of the posters on this forum said bull****. Kelly took Jt out in 7. Abraham does not have one single advantage over Pavlik. He's to small, and has neither the style nor the skill to be competetive with Pavlik. Arthur would have to change pretty much everything he does in the ring to beat Pavlik, and he is not versatile enough to make those kind of changes stick when a guy like Pavlik is forcing him to fight every second of every round. Pavlik will break Arthur down with body shots, and find a home for the right hand by the 6th round. It's over inside 8.
Glad to see Pavlik finally comment on this fight, now it's starting to build up. :happy Can't wait for this to be official, Pavlik's chin isn't hard to reach either and will be out there. :good
That's Abraham's style, he backs off, blocks punches, counters, sometimes throws a few unexpected bombs then backs off again..etc, tries to be as unpredictable as possible. Pavlik won't do much different than what Miranda did, he will come straight forward and look to land his jab followed by expected power punches.
Not totally comparing him to Miranda just saying that he will be predictable with what he does. Jab, jab, jab straight right, hook, jab jab jab. That's nothing confusing but clearly one-diemensional which Miranda IS as well but in his own way. One again, not comparing them just saying that both are one-diemensional and predictable with their punches.
Zuniga and Miranda both probalby hit as hard as Arthur. Taylor is WAY faster and more skilled that Arthur. And whether you like it or not, McKart is WAY smarter and more experienced than Arthur. Just what the **** is AA gonna bring that Pavlik hasn't already massacred?
