His counter punching, movement and peek-a-boo style with his guard up and exploding with big punches unexpectedly, pretty sure that would work affective enough against Pavlik. Also check out my previous post I added an "EDIT" there at the end recommending an Abraham fight against a fighter with height/reach advantage, definitely NOT comparing that fighter to Pavlik simply because they're totally different fighters but the height/reach advantage is there, fun fight as well.
I think they both are a couple of **** monkeys that were in the right place at the right time. Pavlick seems to think he is some kind of royalty now, I hear way too much lip outta this guy who came outta no where to preach his gospel about how he knows so much about boxing and skills when he doesnt rely on skill to win. Pavlick gets 2 wins over Taylor who has skills but no heart or confidence in himself. This doesnt mean anything to me. Taylor beat Hopkins using speed but not alot of skill, hell at the end of those two fights he didnt even act like he deserved to win. I am pretty sure Duva had to rock him to sleep that night because he was crying. Ok I feel better
All I know is that if Pavlik loses the fight it's because he fought Abraham wrong or Abraham lands some sort of wild haymaker punch that catches Pavlik offguard. If Kelly boxes, Abraham has a puncher's chance and that's it. He's too stiff and immobile to be effective at opening up and utilizing his jab against an opponent of Kelly's size and calibur. His lack of headmovement and lack of handspeed make, in combination with having an inferior jab and normally low workrate will make it one hell of a problem if Abraham has to chase Kelly around looking for the KO. If Kelly goes right at Abraham, he still might win the fight, but it's VERY possible that Abraham will hit him with a wild haymaker and then have enough in him, due to inactivity to finish him off. BUT that also depends on the round. Late or mid into the fight, if Kelly puts in enough work and smartly goes to Abraham's body WITH CAUTION, he will eventually be able to go right at Abraham and try to put him down.
Well, it's probably a good thing that people (Americans) still underestimate AA. The shock they'll get will be so much sweeter for people in the know. The usual American ignorance to what's going on outside their own borders can play right into AA hands. I hope you bet a lot, a lot of money on Pavlik if they meet, after all a protected Eurobum can't beat Pavlik. I so hope this fight get's made.
Btw, neither was a boxer like Ottke a good technician but a damn good strategist and that's what Abraham's too, to some extent...
Most Americans do not underestimate AA after we saw him destroy Miranda. (I had seen AA prior to the Miranda but I am a boxing fanatic and am partial to Armenians). I will venture to say that more Europeans are biased against Pavlik than Americans are biased against Abraham.
Strategy is fine, but sometimes you have to have the tools to implement them. And it's unlikely that Abraham will ever have the legs or skills necessary for him to be an outstanding boxer. He is what he is. A slugger with a highguard defense who hit's very hard and for anyone to come right at him, under most circumstances would be suicide.
NO you are a pavlick nutlicker:tired ! ZUNIGA AND MIRANDA DO NOT hit as hard as arthur. AA is p4p 1 or 2 hardest hitting in boxing right now. ask your boy kitten miranda how hard he hits. Mckart might be more experienced but not "WAY" smarter! :bart AA will bring "smart" boxing, not wasting shots, aa will bring good defense, aa will bring heavy handed counterpunching.:bbb THAT IS WHAT AA will bring!
Both of you pro-Pavlik's and Abraham's are sounding that damn biased, it's hilarious (I'm talkin to the Landshark, Jetski and Borabora in particular)...reminds me alot of the good old days that where in the months before Lacy vs. Calzaghe...
