That would be ... one of the biggest statements of the last 40 years in boxing, Pavlik http://vindy.com/news/2008/oct/09/8220that-would-be-one-of-the-biggest/
Hopkins is 43 years old. It would not be the kind of statement Pavlik is suggesting it would be - though it would be a big deal.
i honestly cant see pavlik beating hopkins even at his ripe old age. pavlik is made for a counter puncher, and thats what hop is the best at.
I see stopping Hopkins purely because Hopkins hasn't got the stamina to go 12 hard rounds with a hard hitting volume puncher. Of course that's because Hopkins is ancient now and the only statement it makes is that father time gets everyone eventually.
Hope he's not pre-occupied with the notion. Its better to just let it happen, instead of trying to MAKE it happen. Whatever. Hopkins will still gas out under the constant pressure & KP will jump all over him.
too bad, he's not gonna land enough to hurt bhop, the question will be if hopkins can be just active enough to steal it
i concur. even if kelly got dropped several times, he's too strong and his jab, the most important punch is boxing, already proved to be b-hops weakness as taylor showed, even tho i don't think taylor beat him the first time. kellys strength and pressure will be too much to b-hop
It's interesting when you do a close study of each fighter's last 3 fights. I've been watching alot of tape recently, and I felt like I thought I understood who might win this matchup, but after review, I'm not sure at this particular moment.
