Pavlik did not do what Nate Campbell did. Campbell put his hands down straight at his side, stuck out his chin, and dared Peden to hit it. Which he did, very well.

Crazy ass Mayorga did the exact same thing on several occasions.

SRL, Ali, and Nicolino Loche would frequently do the same but actually manage not to get hit flush. RJJ put his hands behind his back.

Pavlik was doing the same damn thing every one keeps pointing out with Taylor, which was carry his left too low and he paid the price for it. Bad tecnique and showboating are two different things.
It's rare (it does happen just not often) to see a fight nowadays where guys consistently keep their hands up, especially after throwing a left.

    Another ****ing stupid hate thread.

We know you wanted JT to make up for the ass whoopin that KP put on Miranda(who trains in and comes out with the PR flag) but it didnt happen so stop knit picking and give the man his props.

His hands were down only after he got rocked. What he did was nothing close to what Campbell did.

HIS HANDS WERE DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS OUT OF IT!

I agree. His wreckless behavior in the second darn near cost him the fight. That's something he needs to do away with. He's too good a fighter to engage in that kind of nonsense. He is one tough son of a gun but he doesn't need to prove it by trying to show his opponent he can take punches with disdain.

But in the end, ironically, I think it was Taylor who got too confident in his own strength and the one who underestimated his opponents strength. Taylor looked like he should have been the stronger guy but that Pavlik is deceptively, incredibly strong for such a sinewy guy.

Pavlik was hit by like a 15 punch combination when he went down, lol . Yeah, I noticed Pavlik got hit a few times, then dropped his hands , and was hit many more times and went down.

It was a Taylor overhand right that made Kelly drop his hands, not Kellys cockiness.

Sure he could, look at Bernards activity level. Pavlik is a preasure fighter in his prime which would bring it to Bernard all night long.

Pavlik beats Hopkins right now. Hopkins circa '97 is a total different story.

Wrong. It was a dumb DUMB move on his part, he was a hair away from getting KTFO.

I remember thinking in the first round when he stuck his toungue out that he was doing it out of nervoussness and would get tagged for it - sure enough he did - but props to him for getting up and I think those punches snapped him out of it.

Damn good fight, can hardly wait for the rematch.

Agreed. That would look something like his fights against Echols but closer.
