Abraham by stoppage.. Pavliks defense is not good, but Pavlik is busier, so he would win a few, he is also right in front of you, and AA could put him down with one punch.. He also would seal the deal once he put Pavlik down, he wouldnt pull no Jermain Taylor bull****.. I also see it taking at least 3-4 rounds for Pavlik to break Abrahams guard, and his bursts would probably win him a few rounds until Pavlik finally starts getting around that guard.. On top of that, Abraham is a little tough, you know, fighting with that grotesquely broken jaw and what not, so I really dont see Pavlik stopping him either.. Main point though, Pavliks defense is no where near good enough to keep away from Abrahams power for a whole fight... If Pavlik wins, Abraham isnt as good as I thought, or Pavlik got off the canvas to pull the win out..
If these 2 fighter meets in the ring . . . there's no way the fight will go to a decission . . . they both have killer instincts. A 50/50 fight but I'll pick Pavlik by T/KO. Explain? Well Abraham is going to be hit first . . . and once that happens . . . Pavlik won't stop the onslaught. Abraham might not go down . . . but I can see the fight being stopped by the ref.
I think the most likley outcome of this fight is Pavlik on points. But I ahve a gut feeling that Abraham will stop him, whillst being behind on the cards. I don't think that Pavlik can hurt Abraham who pretty much has the best chin in boxing, and also has 1 punch knock out power plus Pavlik's tendincy to get caught. Abraham KO
I can't see how Abraham could possibly win this fight on points. He is too defensive and only fights for one minute of every round. However, when Abraham hits people, they tend to collapse to the ground and not get back up. He also carries this power all the way because he is such a lazy fighter; winning fights with late k.o.s is not uncommon for him. Pavlik has never been stopped but it is debatable that he has ever been hit anywhere near as hard as he would if he fought Abraham. If Abraham did make Pavlik do the chicken dance, he would undoubtedly not let him off the hook. Can Pavlik stop Abraham? I seriously doubt it. Miranda couldn't stop him when he had a broken jaw. Can Pavlik outbox Abraham and avoid his ko power for the whole fight? Lesser fighters than Pavlik have gone the distance with Abraham but Pavlik is not a defensive minded fighter and tends to bully and break his opponents. I do not envisage him breaking Abraham. Who wins the fight? Not sure. If I had to make a choice at gunpoint, I'd probably opt for Abraham by ko but wouldn't be surprised if Pavlik won on points. Is this post extremely familiar? Probably.
To put it bluntly, Abraham has more one punch KO power, a better defense and a better chin. He can soak up Pavlik shots with a combination of that iron jaw and high defensive guard and counter with hard left hooks on Pavlik's shakeable chin.
NO ****!!!! I cant stand it. NEWSFLASH: YOU CAN SEARCH FOR THREADS ON THE BOXING FORUM PAGE. I think Taylor is a much sharper and quicker boxer than Abraham, and yet Kelly dealt with him very well in the rematch showing how much he had improved since the last fight they had. I don't think Abraham has the speed or boxing skill to catch Pavlik with a shot like the one that rocked Pavlik to his boots in the first Taylor fight. I think Pavlik outworks him for a UD. Not saying that Taylor would beat Abraham btw, just saying he's quicker and sharper imo.
Its ok mate. Taylor is much quicker than and more intelligent than Abe. And yes Taylor would beat AA. I'd bet the farm
