If fighting with a broken jaw couldn't stop Abraham, Pavlik won't. But Kelly wins a decision, because he punches just a bit harder, straighter and quicker. But it will be a brutal fight than may leave even the winner depleated.
Wow, thought i'd be in the minority picking Abraham by KO until i voted!, as voiced (quite often already) i think Pavlick isn't defensive minded enougth to keep AA of him for 12 rounds, will be AA winning by KO whilst losing on the cards. Can't see this fight be stopped either, AA can take quite a bit of punishment without being adversley affected
Abraham KO8 Pavlik's workrate will be the result of him being ahead of AA on all the cards, and than around round 8, he will be caught by a big punch, go down, visibly hurt, get up and AA will pick the right punch to finish him off.
Abraham has been getting WAY to much credit for stopping Miranda. Prior to Abraham/Miranda very few people picked AA to beat Pavlik. After that fight all of a sudden Abraham is the second coming of Ray Robinson! Abraham fights 45 seconds of each round, and has never been in the ring with anyone who could force him to fight 3 minutes of every round. Pavlik will change that. Arthur has one advantage against Pavlik: One punch power. Absolutely EVERYTHING else goes to Kelly. Arthur likes to back up to the ropes and rest in his shell. That's right where Pavlik wants him. Pavlik will turn the ring into a ****ing phone booth and beat Abraham half to death. Pavlik KO8 Abraham, and that is the same prediction I've been making since 2006! Unlike some fans I'm not blind to the fact that it was EDISON MIRANDA that AA knocked out. It wasn't Taylor, or Winky. For **** sakes it wasn't even Zuniga! It was Edison Miranda; a guy who has lost every important fight he's been in!
Right on man, I'm also not impressed in the least by Miranda. AA is being overrated because of it. If Kelly can fight a smart tactical fight and not be reckless, he should win on point or possibly by late stoppage.
Abraham by TKO in round 10. Both fighters definitely have a chance here so this is a close fight to call but as a supporter of Abraham and a fan who has seen a lot of his fights I'll be backing him up to win this one. Abraham has very good underrated defense, Pavlik lacks that and when you lack that against a very powerful underrated puncher in Abraham then you're in trouble. Also, Abraham never showed he was seriously hurt in any fight, even when Miranda nailed him wit ha solid flush uppercut as Abraham was kneeling down and broke his jaw, Abraham was stunned for like a second and came back even though the punch broke his jaw. Miranda also caught him with punches after that and Abraham was able to handle them even with a broken jaw and bleeding heavily. I just don't know how will Abraham handle Pavlik's power which is also on a level on it's own, that kind of power you can't mess around with or be careless against and Abraham is never careless. Just check out Abraham's recent KO wins, most of those guys just looked like they were killed in there as they hit the canvas, same can be said about Pavlik's recent KOs as well so this is a fight that MUST be made and a fight no one should miss. There is a reason Sturm openly claimed he won't fight Abraham after he was offered a fight and offered 1.5million Euro, the man is very good and ver underrated as well.
Come on Scar!! Since when is Arthur's punching UNDER RATED?? to hear people on this forum tell it Arthur has more punching power than a sasquatch! The truth is his best KO came against Miranda who, as I said above, has lost every important fights he's been in. Miranda also has no clue what to do when he's hurt. When Abraham caught him with that first right hand Miranda did exactly the wrong thing, and consequently got knocked the **** out. Arthur has power, but he lunges with the right and throws a lot of wild ass haymakers. His punching ability, if anything, is over rated. Pavlik has the better resume, and the higher KO percentage. Pavlik has more knock outs than AA has fights!
AA by KO or Pavlik by decision. A KO win by Pavlik would surprise me and a win after 12 rounds by AA would surprise me even more. If I have to decide I'll go for AA, but only because I follow his career since the very beginning. His punching power is outstanding and still underrated.
I honestly don't think Abraham would hit Pavlik cleanly with one of those slow looping haymakers. I'm not extremely impressed with what I've seen of abraham (4 fights), I think he is wild, and that uppercuts could be the death of him with that guard, and Pavlik can throw a mean one. However I can't predict the outcome unless I know whether it's in Germany or not. Probably pavlik by late tko, but if he's (edit-Abraham) at home he might get a ref who'll let him fight even if he shouldn't and dock his opponent for some bull**** (IMO AA-Miranda I is one of the worst refereeing jobs I've ever seen, and not just because the ref didn't stop the fight; some of those point deductions were total BS) so I 'd have to say that AA's only real chance--aside from a very unlikely lucky punch that makes Pav go down--is a home cooked decision.
Abraham will bet Pavlik is he has the guts to get in the ring with him. Abraham has better defense, better punching power, more athletic, and is predictable like Pavlik is. Plus Abraham has a better chin. Common opponent Miranda. It took Pavllik like 7 or 8 rounds to finish of Miranda. Plus Pavlik was hit alot in the fight. Abraham hardly got hit and and took care of Miranda in 4 easy rounds. Pavlik is an american Hype just like Taylor was.
Yea well it took Pav 8 rounds to ko Miranda. Pavlik was hit alot in the fight. AA was barely hit at all. AA clocked him with a perfect right hook that dropped Miranda in the 3. AA took care of Miranda in 4 rounds and barely broke a sweat. Pav is very overhyped and has alot of flaws in his clumsy style.
Sorry pal, but it took AA 16 rounds to get rid of Edison Miranda. Pavlik fought him once and no rematch will ever be needed. Abraham is more athleticatsch What a ****ing joke!
