You don't get into the top 10 P4P by beating Edison Miranda and then struggling with Jermain Taylor in two victories, even if the first one ended the horrible Taylor apologist train by sickening KO. How about getting KD'd against Zuniga?:yep

Having a short war with the likes of Zertuche? Please

Discuss and seriously discuss. The problems with P4P will never end because once a rating is established, it can be kept within a wrongful circle of fighters, until that is a B level puncher comes in like Pavlik and defeats one of those overrated goons twice and then becomes part of the puzzle himself.

All though that **** is harsh, more so than it should be with you and Pav, I really don't know about top 10 p4p either. Although it's kind of Kool seeing people put him in there.

I don't think you are giving the PAV man his due credit....Joe has been criticised for his resume, and I think they ae wrong too

Pavlik isn't the kind of guy who beats his opponents with ease, even if he is in another class. He's like Joe Frazier. Frazier was better than Bonavena, Quarry and others, yet these guys gave him tough fights. In the end the result was decisive, which is all that matters.

Pavlik beat Miranda, Taylor, Zertuche and anyone else you want to name, decisively.

Is he top 10? Maybe not, I'm not sure. If he is, he's in the latter part of it for sure.

I dont think he should be top 10.
He is probably top 15 but no way he is top 10.
Most people on these forums overrate his accomplishment. Miranda was jsut a puncher who could be outboxed by any decent boxer. Taylor was a legit win IMO. Zertuche was a.... Wait who is Zertuche???Ha

P4P is such a pointless debate.... Mijares weighing 20 pounds more would probably NOT look like he does. Same with ALL the other smaller guys. Look at how much mayweather's changed since moving up.

Ring has him at number 9. http://www.thering-online.com/ringpages/ratings2.html

Only number 10 here:

OK! If he is not in the top 10. I guess he should be 11th or 12th at LEAST!

I would not say Pavlik struggled with Taylor in the 1st fight, Taylor might have won 2 rounds despite what the criminal judges had scored. I do not have Pavlik in the P4P top 10. He also destroyed Miranda who everyone here thinks is some unstoppable fighter. Pavlik raped that joke.

Kind of funny how Miranda was meant to destroy Pavlik but now Miranda's name on Kelly's resume isnt much to boost about:huh .

Also having a bloke that was undefeated with two victories over the great B-Hop are also nothing to boost about either:huh .

Considering he is young and only really been in the spotlight for a year or so people cant honestly be so harsh on him.

As for top 10???

I think he slips in their somewhere.

And as mentioned by a fellow poster Pavlik is the type of fighter who will even in a stoppage victory cop a few shots himself and suffer the odd tense moment.People seem to think if you dont completely shutout your opponents all the time you aint much to talk about.Kelly aint no Money Mayweather hes a gritty slugger.

Im on the express and love the fact he is willing to fall on his sword for victory.

He has done enough IMO to earn a #10 spot, but just barely. I think you not giving credit to Pavlik stems from your unnatural hatred of Jermain Taylor, causing you to call Pavlik a B level puncher, which you and I both know is just a ridiculous and asinine statement. Pavliks KO ratio speaks for itself, he is definitely an A level puncher.

Not yet. He's not top 10 yet in my book. Taylor and Miranda are not top 10 p4p fighters.

But wait a little longer we will find out what happens next in his career.

Just wait till your boy Slappy Joe goes life and death with old man Hopkins this weekend before you start putting down real fighters like Pavlik, Calzaghe only wishes he were half the fighter Pavlik is:nono
