Had some good fights in his career, obviously not what he used to be, but I remember this fight like it was yesterday breaking down Taylor and showing heart and not giving up. Taylor would never be the same after this fight.

Like I noted on another thread,if you think about the best fights at 160 of the last decade or so,Pavlik's name will pop up regularly: Zertuche,Miranda, the two Taylor fights - that's four tremendous fights in a row,all within a single year.

Breath of fresh air at the time, was the ghostly lad. He's had a good career and is probably making the correct decision.

I don't think anyone can ever forget him fighting Taylor and Jim Lampley having the craziest passion for boxing that I had seen in a long time.

Lampley was so into the moment, and with Pavlik's father looking up at "God" praying, and Taylors sisters and mother going from loud mouths to silence was priceless in a boxing sense (I don't wish harm on their mental health).

That moment in boxing deserves a spotlight to be looked at. And I thank Pavlik for it.
