Paul Williams is not, in any way, shape or form, Bernard Hopkins. He does not move like Bernard Hopkins. He does not punch like Bernard Hopkins. He does not think like Bernard Hopkins. That fight is of little or no relevance.

Sorry 'bout that. I was just trying to illustrate the situation.

    Guess it worked pretty well.

Did the doctors say those exact words? If so then that doctor should be fired for doing a terrible job but i don't buy it with Pavlik did went to the appointment. I think he really missed his appointments. I mean wasn't Pavlik looking for an opponent for a oct fight before the surgery happen in aug 5th?

You've got about 3 seperate issues here.

    1) Follow the time line. When do you see time to miss 3 appointments?

    2) Missed appointments prior to August 11th are irrelevant because the hand was good enough to move forward with training on August 11th.

    3) One more time, there is nothing unusual about recurring problems with staph.

I'm thinking that Pavlik, or his handlers, shouldn't have signed for the fight to fight in the first place. I mean, I understand that he's been on the shelf for awhile, but at this point having a staph infection heal after surgery is a big deal. Why would you sign for a fight with 6 weeks to train and you just had surgery on your knuckle, regardless of the circumstances? I imagine that only Team Pavlik really know the reasons. As a PW, I would like to see him step up the competition to a legitimate fight, and Pavlik was that. Not saying he's ducking, but it seems to me that he's really careless and non-professional.

I don't buy it at all.Dunkin and Arum even said that Pavlik missed 3 appointments. Yes Arum is known of lying but why would he lied to a fighter he just resign with? Doesn't make any sense.
