Pavlik running from Winky!

The premise of this thread is just stupid.

 

Pavlik should at least fight lorenzo in NYC on june 7th. Lorenzo is a NYC dominican that is the #1 ranked contender in the WBC. I might go to that fight if it happends, but Lockett...c'mon I'm on 7-10 different boxing sites per day I have never heard of this dude.

You ever try talking your friends in to go see a fight with a fighter you never even heard of and your the boxing fanatic of the click :nono doesn't work.

Arum helped get Pavlik the title, so he can't be all that dumb. Now a few dozen people on an internet forum whip themselves into a frenzy and think theirs is the only agenda that matters.

 

Well then you should know Pavlik has got to fight him sometime. Amazing how little duplication their is in rankings. I guess promotors can't afford to buy more than one?

 

Of course I know winky fought Taylor.

Over the last couple years, all Winky has done is turn down fights with Taylor(rematch), Abraham, Sturm. Sayed that Abraham and Sturm are not worth his time and that he wouldn't fight Taylor again. I guess Winky it just too damn good to fight any other title holder. Now all the the sudden comes out and calls out Pavlik after talks have almost been finalized for Pavlik to fight one of his mandatorys. And why should Kelly fight a mandatory? He still wants to unify all the titles and fighting Winky will not make that happen? It is just a big pay day and Kelly is not concerned about the money. Kelly just wants all the titles and for some reason, if he doesn't fight Winky, he is running. Please!!!! Winky's best years are way behind him and he is the one looking for big pay days. Winky just needs to go back and hide in his little hole.

 

He turned down Kessler, not Sturm. In fact, Winky wants to fight Sturm this summer and Sturm is willing to come to the US - Golden Boy seems to be in serious negotiations with Sturm's promoter/management...

 

Good that Sturm will recieve his last big payday. I hope he retires right after, I dont want to see him being knocked out badly by Sylvester or Abraham.

 

What right does Winky have to call out Pavlik. By the time he gets back in the ring it looks like it'll be more than I year since his hugfest with Hopkins.....zzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

 

winky has no legitimate reason of why pavlik shoul fight him other than money. pavlik's idea is to unify and later move up. so that means mandatories and champions will get the first shot along with ranked middleweights. you know actually trying to beat the best in your division and actually prove it.if wink can make that fight with sturm happen andget that belt, then there you go. that's the reason for the fight to happen.until then tell wink go eat a donut and stay away from a young hungry fighter looking to prove his worth.

 

oh yea,by the way winky's only notable wins came over an undersized mosley whose best days were at lightweight
