The road to redemption is to quite simply to find Sturm (even if it involves taking a reduced purse) and **** him up as soon as possible, trying to get Arum to sanction it as a unification fight for the vacant IBF belt. The problem is it's not as simple as that. Sturm will probably hole himself up in Germany, and alphabet organisations probably won't co-operate without serious money involved. There's nothing else Pavlik can do other than to bulk up and take on the guys who aren't involved in the 168 tourney.
I mean no matter how you look at it, Arthur Abraham is fighting the best guys at 168 without ever having a tune up at that weight. Meanwhile, KP is bitching and slandering those guys, while at the same time sitting around looking to fight the Mora's and Duddy's after already feasting on Locketts and Rubios. Then he has the nerve to be bitching about money for fighting guys that HBO is laughing at. :smoke It just looks very bad imo. Even if AA loses a fight (which is likely), I still won't see any shame in it. Just like I didn't see any shame in KP losing to Hopkins the way he did. If you're going to step up, then step up. But don't make excuses and trash others for doing stepping up too. That's how I see it.
Once this tournament gets rolling, Pavlik will really start crying about it. The whole boxing world will be talking about it, while he fights (if he's sober) nobodies on Top Rank, Ohio Fury type PPV.
I agree about fighting Sturm, even with a reduced purse, but the vacant IBF is going to the winner of Sylvester-Lorenzo.
Heres Jack Leow being put on check during a press conference. Were under a rock or did you lock yourself in the room. Because Pavlik lossing was just that devasting for you.
Some of you don't understand the way this works. Pavlik is an entertainer, and he's worth what the market says he's worth. HBO doesn't owe him a specific purse for fighting anyone of his choosing, so complaining about it makes him look like a child. If you're a major actor on the rise and then have a huge box office dud followed by some mediocre films, your next offer won't be for nearly as much money. You can say yes or say no, but under no circumstances are you entitled to ***** about it. Pavlik should consider himself lucky to get a seven-figure purse offer for a guy he should beat handily. But whether he accepts that money or rejects it, he needs to STFU either way.
That's hardly an excuse, you muppet! The guy asked him whether Kelly was more comfortable at MW, and he said that he was, and that he gave away a lot of weight to Hopkins. Duh, Pavlik's a MW. Whoopie-****ing-doo.
Arthur is fighting the best guysatsch His first opponent is a guy Pavlik already beat TWICE in two different divisions. Furthermore, there is a very good chance that Abraham will lose that fight. If he does, we will never see him again. He''ll go back to Germany, and give LuJaun Simon a rematch.
And he will!!!!!! Taylor is just one of them, and what is Pavlik doing, apart from whining. I've lost all respect for Pavlik, what a *****!
I really hope Taylor gets up for this - firstly because he doesn't deserve to get remembered as a chump who got KO'd by the likes of AA and Froch, but secondly because I'd like to see the AA myth exposed ASAP.
