I don't know for certain, but I would assume, not. I haven't talked to him in a couple weeks, and the 160 announcement was a little of a surprise to me, as well. Kelly was pretty adament about not killing himself to make 160. He said that Arum, Cameron, and his Dad would look at what fights are out there and decide the best avaiable option for him. Knowing Kelly, he will want the Martinez rematch at some point if the weight remains controllable.

Yes i do. More than likely it would be Green who has been on HBO. I think hes **** though so HBO prolly would throw money at him but the other 2 that could be out are Froch or Dirrell and those fights HBO would take for sure.
Froch would be a good exciting fight that would be very popular and Dirrell is a fight between 2 top American SMW but Pavliks team would never want this fight. Dirrell would make Pavlik look like a robot.

Nice try. Pavlik is ranked number 4 by the WBO at supermiddleweight. The three above him in the rankings are Froch, Dirrell & Abraham. Two of those three will still be tied up in the super six after the next round of bouts. Pavlik could pretty much walk into a WBO title fight at smw.

Well, tell Kelly the good news is he can eat as much as he wants. The bad? Only if he is willing to work it off... Really a simple formula.

Let the quantity 'calories in' equal stuff you shove in your face
Let the quantity 'calories out' equal work your body does

    Therefore:

calories in = calories out You stay the same weight.
calories in > calories out You gain weight.
calories in < calories out You lose weight.

Caveat. The body 'normally' finds a set point and that is why you don't generally fluctuate all that much in weight. A single pat of 'extra' butter over a years time will put serious weight on you. (at least the example I heard claimed it would) The body really is that finely tuned and Kelly will have a tough time resetting his body to a new, lower normal.

    Middleweight? Really?

Nice try, but probably one of those in the tourney ahead of him are going to be free soon. So much for that theory. How can anyone rank Kelly when he hasn't even announced what weight he will fight at anyhow?

Believe what you want. HBO has been vindictive in regards to Show in the past. Green? :rofl HBO might pay him to NOT clutter up their air.

Sorry he's ranked 4 by the WBO at supermiddleweight.
Edit: And only one of the three above him will exit at the group stage. Allan Green is almost certainly a goner, so it's him and one other from the above mentioned trio.

Pavlik should stay at 160 I don't want to see him robbing Bute of good opponents... I don't what him to make a fight with Froch or Dirrell and leave Bute with Green :verysad

I like this fight for Kelly. A guy who will bring a crowd and a guy who's not hard to find.

What a ****ing joke he is. Rather kill himself to stay at 160 to beat up smaller men than take on some guys his own size.

Given (a) how horrible Pavlik looked against a slick southpaw in Martinez and (b) the lengths to which Top Rank went to make sure Pavlik didn't need to leave the states to fight anyone at middleweight, I doubt Pavlik-Bute was ever going to happen unless HBO was willing to pay really big bucks for it.

Bob Arum is praying that Abraham, Kessler or Froch wins the Super Six. Pavlik might be able to hold his own against those three, and probably should be favored against them. If Ward or Dirrell wins, they're both horrible style matches for Pavlik, and then he might fight Bute. But they'll probably find a way to fight one of those other three instead.
