You saw what happened when Taylor opted for the immediate rematch.

Kelly needs to get his feet back under him & get a win. Then you watch if he doesn't seek revenge with Martinez.

It's okay, You have to learn to flow with it. Don't let it upset you...and you can't argue and lash out at everyone.

That deadline passed. Evidently Arum has plans and put enough money down to help with the motivation factor to keep Kelly at MW. Not a move any of us can say that we saw coming. Jr. will be big in Dallas so that brings the money. It is hard to say since Arum's motivations must be a cross purposes for one of these fighters by definition.

This news caught me by surprise as much as it did anybody else. Even Jsimps was surprised by it, and trust me, if it caught Jsimps by surprise, it fell out of the ****ing sky or something.

Remember the fall 2005 thru spring 2008 Kelly Pavlik? That version of Pavlik never loses against any of todays middleweights. Even Hopkins predicted that Pavlik would never lose at 160. However, spring 2008 was over two years ago, and a return to his previous form at 160 seems unlikely.

It is obvious that Pavlik cannot go back to living on cabbage soup the last two weeks before a fight. It is equally obvious that he can't burn off 25 pounds of muscle in an 8 week camp while preparing for a 12 round fight.

On the other hand, the fact that Pavlik is willing to try to stay at 160 is commendable. Team Pavlik has a plan that they intend to start implementing next week, even though a Chavez fight is nearly five months away. Five months of working toward a goal, combined with the willingness to spend money on a sports nutritionist and a world class conditioning coach tells me there is more going on here than just a potential big money fight.

Kelly knows his title reign sucked, and he has unfinished business at 160. Now he wants to try to finish that business. That is worthy of praise. All the criticism is out of line.

with the rough road he has had lately.. it time to look at his team and find out what needs to be changed and what can stay the same... but to keep it all the same is just set up for another disaster either now or down the road
