Now that Kessler/Froch is signed that doesn't leave much for Pavlik. Bute? Abraham will happen when pigs fly. Dirrell wrong style wise and not a big fight at this point. Am I missing someone?

Groves, De Gale, Oosthuizen and Rodriguez would all be good fights IMO.
Probably none of them generate enough money right now unfortunately.

Pavlik has chicken out Bute's promotor said Pavlik doesnt want to fight Bute.
Bute will fight Bika in May for WBC title.

Danm... & Pavlik had some momentum building in early 2012.
(He was on a couple Co-headlining jobs)

But seems like he will have to start all over again.

Rodriguez was featured on HBO. That fight could get made, and would offer some entertainment.

You have a link to back any of this up? I follow Pavlik pretty closely and haven't heard any of this.

He should fight Bute it's not like he has many options if he still wants to get a title

Bute's promoter should offer Pavlik a good cut of purse, an if I was Bute I would shoot for april also. a sold victory a month before the froch/Kessler fight would be great for Bute on the Public Relation front. What ever he gives up to Pavlik money wise, is nothing compared what he could gain with a victory. Bute should even offer Pavlik 55/45 cut to make the fight done deal, an give pavlik the 55:good

It nothing compared to it being on HBO no question of that, this works for either career.

That's a link explaining that the WBC will order the Bika-Sjekloca winner to fight Bute in May. That also says negociations with Pavlik are going nowhere.

In a radio interview, Bute's promoter said that he was in very good terms with Eddy Hearn. I think Bute's plans are now to gain the WBC belt and then to make a big unification fight with Froch, if he wins against Kessler. Froch's plans are to avenge his defeat against Kessler, win his WBC title back against Bute and then face Andre Ward. Both men can help the other one to reach their respective goals: to avenge their defeats and unify the titles.

Froch has to win against Kessler though.

i don't see how Pavlik could help Bute better than the previous scenario.

My French was never good. Yeah, Bute has a much easier rematch path without Pavlik but don't underestimate Arum and his WBC pull either. Sillyman where go where he thinks he gets the 'greatest return on fraud' and he probably wouldn't bet Bute wins the rematch with Froch who won't have a title by then.
