Look. YOUR SIDE has to keep its stories consistent. I just went back and forth with some guy claiming Rubio was a smaller man because some years ago he fought at 154. Hell, so did Pavlik on his way up. I'm not going to debate both sides of this issue. You guys go come up with a consistent view of things and get back to us, OK?

So, I'm not going to debate Rubio was the smaller man AND then debate Pantera was weight drained.

I was at the fight. These two guys were well matched in size. Just STFU if you can't be more objective. Rubio had a better chance pulling off high guard than AA will have because of reach. Kelly was leaving himself open to counters working the body but Rubio couldn't pull the trigger. AA simply will be out of reach. Also, Kelly was pounding away and then backing off. AA relys on people falling asleep while doing this. So, Kelly works and moves out against a guy will already short reach. Yep......

Reach. And a step up AA has never taken before. Of course, it has been a while since Pavlik has faced Taylor, but not that long since Bhop. Even what it was, it was a lesson Abraham has yet to face.

Sturm vs Pavlik or Abraham or even Mundine is "HA!" worthy at the least. I get the vibe that Sturm is CERTAINLY happy to just take out the lesser guys and completely avoid the champions entirely.

Yep -- still to straight up, and still let's his feet get to far apart at times. Rubio's biggest problem was not the double or triple jab. It was those long left hooks to the head and body. I was happy to see Kelly putting those together the way he did. I was also happy to see increased use of the lead right to the body. I'll say this for Rubio: KP hit Taylor and McKart with ONE of those shots. It took the wind out of Taylor's sails and put Bronco on his hands and knees. I don't give a **** what happened 4 1/2 years and 18 fights ago, Rubio is a tough *******.

In the later rounds every time Pavlik landed a jab rubio's face would show the pain and he would cringe .... Pavlik is very heavy handed.

Early in the fight you could see Rubio shaking too, the guy was terrified of Pavlik....

People are hating on Pavlik purely on him not knocking him out.... but how often do you see the fighter himself quit on the stool while his trainers urge him to keep fighting? Pavlik terrified , hurt and crushed Rubio.

The feature picture in our sports section was one of those to Rubio's body up under Rubio's high guard and you could see the obvious grimace on Rubio's face. I'm thinking, "Insert Abraham Here". :yep

There was one point where Rubio almost cowered behind a very stiff guard, like an "OH ****!!!" moment. Not sure if he had gotten himself out of position or not. One of the memories I think I will always have of that fight.

Ya know, In the Taylor rematch KP put on what was arguably the best performance of his career, and won a VERY clear UD over a guy who beat Hopkins TWICE. Afterward half of ESB claimed Kelly looked like ****. There are many posters on here who can watch a boxing match, and come away with no clue what they just saw.

Probably half of them are judges. Tidbit in todays paper. Kelly said he took the 6th off and let Rubio throw. He said Rubio won the round.

That's why I've been saying all along. Sometimes when you watch on TV you actually have a better view of the fight than live, because of camera angles, et. Kelly was standing in front of Rubio with has hands and chest height, and making Rubio miss. All of a sudden he got this stupid grin, and just stopped moving and let Rubio tee off on him. Like I told Jeff, I think that was the exact moment when Rubio knew he was ****ed!

Kelly said he also toyed with the idea of walking in with his hands at his side in the 8th cuz he felt Rubio had lost it in that round. He said in the 8th he knew it was a matter of time until he caught Rubio or he took a knee.

No one hates Pavlik or Abraham but boxing politics that prevent such a match up from happening.

People are just pissed off by waiting for like 1 year to see this fight and it looks like to be another year...not gonna happen.

Fans like to translate their hate on boxing politics trough fighters some times but in the end they don't hate them - at least no bangers who are grounded like Pavlik and Abraham.
