He telegraphs some punches, but for the most part, he throws nice straight punches right up the middle.
Pavlik doesn't at all. He's actually really good with feints which is one of the reasons why I'm picking him to beat Taylor. When you have the power that Pavlik does, you'll find that people don't want to get hit. So feints WORK. Which allows him to go to the body. Taylor telegraphed his punches a like a mother ****er in his last two fights, but I don't think that will be problem for either fighter tonight. I think you're just trying to stir **** up though.
Maybe if he telegraphed them in Spanish it might have helped Miranda? :yep Anyway some fans make fun of Taylor's limited speech - maybe Taylor will be able to read Pavlik's telegraphs? We'll see soon enough.
I will tell you one puch Pavlik does not telegraph and that is his right uppercut. Thats a sneaky son of a *****.
I don't agree with that cause there are experts sayin exactly the opposite, Taylor telegraphs his, but it comes to me that there may be two separate questions here - Pavlik has more variety of punches and always puts them together in combinations so he's not that predictable, and Taylor is the faster puncher of the two - there is a third problem ( besides handspeed and versatility) here which I believe is feet position to get leverage in your punches and both have poor footwork, Kelly too slow, Jermain gets flat-footed more often than not... Whoever moves better with his feet, wins this fight!
Pavlik is slow and often gives up defence for offence! It's a 50-50 fight with a possibility for a clear victory either way. That is the beauty of close match ups.
How Pavlik does what he does is not that important. What is important is that he is a very busy, hard effective puncher. Many of the punches he throw land on his opponents chin. He has very successful results === everytime. Tonite should be no different.
Even if Kelly does telegraph the first punch its the next two or three behind it that you don't see coming.
I am with Thor, Mustang, never was JT hurt by Cory and that was so clear that Manny demanded Jermain to come forward cause the other man wouldn't hurt him, check that out plz... What may be true for you is that Spinks was terribly faster and slicker both of feet and fists and JT never got in there with a second punch, maybe with a jab or a straight right, seldom with a combination of both, Jermain didn't risk going forward cause he would look bad to the point of influencing the judges in Cory's favour - something like Oscar punching sloppy, getting countered by Floyd and that resulting in the challenger's advantage - very dreadful job to score, JT vs Spinks...
