The average fan on ESB has so little analytical ability that they think anyone with a high KO ratio is "a raw slugger" and anyone who doesn't dance, prance, and pose "just plods forward." There are good reasons Pavlik got past the C level and then B level opponents, beat the number one contender, and knocked out the reigning champion. Those reasons are called talent and skill!
I agree with you. It often happens in boxing. A boxer doesn't use all of his tools in every bout. It depends of the fighter in front of him. It's easy to find weaknesses in a boxer if you only watch a few fights. But if you see a lot of them, you can see the real value of a guy. That's not my case for Pavlik, so I'm glad to read all of you fellows!
