Just because he speaks English, doesn't mean that he can't have the same intelligence as a doorknob.

Three. Pavlik would be stepping up in weight :hey not always easy

I'm surprised to read such a post from a poster who has been on ESB for over 2 years, who has 1270 posts and who clearly isn't joking...:patsch

I have seen a lot of hype since I started here at ESB, but never quite like the hype surrounding Pavlik! It is unreal! The guy would be truly embarassed to read some of these posts!

#1 You're right, Calzaghe's had trouble with flat footed power punchers before, that boy Lacy gave him nightmares after all.

Honestly, if you think Joe's going to stand straight in front of the guy then you have no idea about boxing. He'll respect Pavlik's power and be showing him the kind of angles he showed Lacy. Pavlik's never been in with anybody even remotely comparable in style and skill to Calzaghe at MW, let alone at SMW. Calzaghe is no Miranda.

#2 Pavlik's hardly renowned for his inside game either; he works behind the jab too for the most part. Kessler's slicker than Pavlik, a better mover and harder to hit. He's also comfortable at SMW while Pavlik's moving up. I can see Kessler controlling him all night.

#3 Haven't seen enough of Bute to comment really.

Makes sense. He'd be undefeated at that weight, he's beaten the number one contender and then he'd have beaten the man. Given his size he probably doesn't want to keep killing himself to make weight. Plus the big fights are then at 168 in the Kessler/Calzaghe winner. They'd love to face the winner of PAvlik/Taylor. Both would be undefeated, it would spell BIG MONEY!

Pavlik is a really good fighter and I look forward to see what the future holds for this future champ.
