Hatton at least gave a good account of himself against the best fighter of this generation, before getting outclassed and stopped.

Pavlik got toyed with for 12 rounds by a 100 yr old Hopkins and was mentally never the same again.

Both Hatton and Pavlik are similar though in that their lifestyles and drinking problems definitely contributed to them burning out so quickly.

Hatton was able to accomplish more though, and his prime lasted longer.
