lol, i never asked the guy to interscede on my behalf. But I had your same initial thoughts until its about him and his health. not his fans. Is Pavlik perfect? No, but he gave us some very exciting fights. I thought it was hilarious that moving to California would help with his training camp to avoid all the alcohol issues.
2 wins over Jermain Taylor is enough for a "notable" career. Like I said 99.9% of guys who start boxing as kids dont make it to that level. If you dont think being an undisputed champ is notable enough, thats your issue
Good for him. He made his money, left his mark in history and got out fairly young. He doesn't owe you ****ing Boxrec warriors anything. More power to him.
Hopkins was 2 divisions above Pavlik...and still the no.1 guy in his division. Mentally never the same? He went toe to toe with Martinez, KD'd him and lost 8-4 on the cards. The same Martinez who has dominated everyone in the division since. If that was Pavlik, who wasnt mentally there, he must have been an absolute beast when he was!!
His run to the title consisted of Zuniga, Mckart, Zertuche and Miranda. None had ever been stopped and all were decent. Not great but decent. He was the first to stop them all and probably ruined Miranda. He then stopped the recognized king of the division. Tyler absolutely hates Pavlik blindly for the simple reason that he accomplished more than Arthur Abraham ever will. Nothing against Abe but its true and he knows it. It kills him. Just like rayhogan hates him blindly because he knows that Pavlik would have sparked Williams if they fought and it kills him. Pavlik has earned his share of scorn for sure but there are people who blindly and genuinely hate him. Like real hate and it's pretty sad.
Yeah, it "kills me" atsch Believe that if you want son, if it allows you to sleep at night. He has also achieved more in bars and taverns but that's another story. :rofl
What I said is true. And he did **** away talent in a bar. What of it? On side note we do agree about GGG as much as I hate to admit.
