B hop didnt **** palik up that bad. Palvik just sitting around on his ass not training, fighting bums. He wasnt a good champion. Didnt fight williams and then fights a bum. When he fighst classed fighter ,, he gets owned. Williams would of KOed him forsure in my books
Just wish the kid well. Hopefully, he looks back on things, gets focused and comes back the old Kelly. At this point, not sure what is left!! For all the haters, guess, you will have to find someone new to pick on. That won't be hard, I would say, it's just the way you look at life in general. Opinions and Hatred , aren't the same..Peace
I'm willing to give him a few fights at a higher weight myself. There is more involved than just adding weight/muscle. He will have to work on speed to counteract the new muscle so that it doesn't slow him down.
That's disappointing. I expected (hoped) a quick return, I mean it's been a month now so why not have a B-level type of tune-up in August and a solid 168lbs fight in December? I'd keep Kelly in the gym as much as I could, as when you have a gym rat mentality, everything comes much easier.
I have wondered if this means he plans on going to 168. If so, their is really no rush on the time table. I think he does work out when not 'training' though I think he may need to keep in the boxing gym to make sure the muscle memory doesn't atrophy.
Pavlik did OK in the very 3 rounds Martinez stopped lateral movement, and not yet started to beat Kelly to a bloody mess. Harsh reality is that the fight was much more one-sided than HBO commentators were trying to sell, I for one scored the round following the KD even and then Martinez, on his own terms, decided to stand in toe-to-toe with Pavlik and throw consecutive 4-punch combinations. When Jim Lampley realized something opened a new cut, Martinez already landed 2 dozen unaswered shots including a flush bomb to cut the eye, and there was no stopping from there. Even worse from Kelly's point of view, the knockdown that made the fight seem a lot more competitive was highly questionable. This content is protected Here you see Kelly landing a rabbit punch on the back of Martinez' neck, pushes him down with his elbow and lands an average shot (illegal move), and as Martinez loses balance under the circumstances, their feet come together which ultimately makes him lose coordination, AND in the end, Pavlik simply and gently pushes him with the left to finish the "knockdown" (that's actually a cool move). That was the best moment of Kelly Pavlik in the entire fight.
Agreed, I like how HBO call none of Sergio's punches and then Pavlik lands a glancing right hand and it's "hard right hand by Pavlik!"... the commentating was a joke.
It was a disgrace. I don't know what fight they were watching. Blown-up Welterweight Martinez was landing at will and essentially making Plodder Pavlik his *****. :rofl
He never drinks there. His bar/restaurant called 13th round is in struthers right next to y-town, but kelly hangs on the east side according to the locals here.
Sup hermit. Looks like my stay here in youngstown is getting cut short. Let's go find kelly at an east side pub and hoist a few with 'em.
