I think Pavlik should fight Rubio in Cleveland, Duddy in New York and Mora in L.A. in a US tour.
Does anyone think that maybe Pavlik should go to Germany to fight Abraham, Sturm, and Zbik, I get the feeling those fights are bigger money in Germany then in USA for Kelly. What do guys think?

Loew is a fine trainer and Pavlik should stay with him:nono But Pavlik and his whole team were foolish to let Pavlik go into the fight sick and 10 pounds over his ideal weight:verysad

Horse**** mate. It was clear from a tactical standpoint and technical standpoint he was completely out ouf his league. Bhop brought the perfect gameplan and embarrased him, Kelly and his corner couldn't do anything about it, they certainly didn't prepare for what Hopkins was going to bring.

Nope Leow is third tier trainer, who seems to runs his mouth like a fat chick whose upset because she can't find right tampon size. Not only did Hopkins beat Pavlik, but he exposed him....

Pavlik should stay at 160 and unify with the other champions. I highly doubt he will replace his trainer since they seem to have a tight bond. A Arthur Abraham fight is the only thing that matters right now imo for Pavlik.

I think staying at 160 for a while is very good advice for Pavlik. Not to take away from Hopkin's outstanding performance in their bout but Pavlik didn't exactly domanate Taylor in their rematch at 168.

    ******. :patsch

Abraham is with Sauerland. And it's been Sauerland that's been 3 times as bad as Universum has over the years.

Ever hear of Henry maske? Sven Ottke? All with Sauerland.

Pavlik was a dead man walking in that fight no speed and no snap in punches but let haters believe what want:bart In the end Pavlik will prove them wrong as did in Taylor and Miranda fights:nono There are some boxer types at 160 like Sturm, Zbik and Mora too test Pavlik skill at dealing with a slick boxer and boxer punchers like Rubio and Abraham that will Pavlik ability to deal with well rounded fighters when beats them all Pavlik off night with Hopkins will be forgiven as fluke it was.:smoke

I disagree...Pavlik has Plataead under Loew....he needs to hear more from his corner when he's losing a fight than the same old advice "Double the jab, throw the right hand"....he's trained Kelly to be one dimensional. Pavlik needs to find somebody that will teach him more versatility and teach him to swtich up his attach. Kelly will never be a slick boxer, but certainly he could improve.

I don't understand this only fight that matters stuff:huh As if there are not other fights at 160 besides Abraham for Pavlik:-( There are fights that are interestling or exciting and would season Pavlik:nono Slugfests with Rubio and Duddy and tests of Pavlik boxing skills with Sturm and Zbik:bbb and who would not want to see Pavlik hunt down Mora:yep

I am talking about his legacy. Sure, slugfests with Rubio and Duddy will be great but wont do anything for Pavlik's resume if he even beats them. I agree with you about Sturm. That would be a great fight and I would love to see it. I also agree with you about Mora. :D But I want to see Pavlik unify with the other champs. He can probably fight those other guys you mention when he is trying to find fighters for his keep busy fights like the Locket fight.

You have to dance with the girl that brought you to the dance. It wouldn't have mattered if Pavlik had Steward, Dundee, and Gil Clancy in his corner - it wouldn't have helped him against Hopkins on October 18th, 2008. Loew was doing just fine when Pavlik was knocking everyone out - now because he loses to a living legend, first ballot hall of famer and suddenly Loew is a bum?

They can rebuild from this loss. Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran - all suffered disappointing losses - but rebounded to go on to great things.
