I agree. He needs a whole experienced professional corner. If he does this he'll have a second career, if not he'll be like Cotto.
Go into your control panel from the option above to the left. Scan down the left menu. Makes the site much more readable to get rid of people that NEVER talk boxing at all.
Thank you! I caught absolute hell for saying it was the worst performance of Pavlik's career, but it was. BHop dominated Pavlik from bell to bell. Even I could only find 1 round to give Pavlik. However, it's pretty tough to imagine Saturday nights version of Pavlik lasting more than 5 rounds with Hopkins.
Amen to that man. You forget that a majority fo people who post here have never boxed before(includes sparring....or in sparring at least have never been outclassed) Until you've been put into a shitty situation that involves you getting tired, frustrated, constantly beaten to the punch or all of the above...and with no forseeable change in your fortune, then quitting DOES creep into your mind. It's human and normal. The difference is those who agree with those thoughts before giving their all. You heard even the toughest of fighters say how they wouldn't allow themselves to quit. they were acknowledging the thought being there but would not give in. I sparred a guy who was a pro and considerably taller than me. He was like a right handed cruiserweight version of Paul Williams(he was 6' 6" to my 5' 10") I was helping him prepare for a fight in my hometown so was getting rotated in with other guys to really work him. I cracked him hard and that was the worst thing I ever could have done. It turned him into a whirlwind and he cranked over 100 punches in a 3 minute round my way....all from behind his long reach. It sucked enough where I thought about walking away(I gassed quick trying to fight back) but I made myself stay in there and keep trying for the rounds I was in there with him for.
