Will Nelson is a pretty solid fighter from what I've read/heard about him. Not sure about anyone else on that list.
TBH, I was kind of hoping to see atleast a couple of higher weight classes. Maybe 1 LHW fight? or a CW, a HW fight would have been sweet even if they were cans.
Wow,this truly is all about kelly and know one else.Arum has placed a pretty shitty undercard for the paying fans in Youngstown.Surely with a sold out 7,000 seat arena he could at least have placed one solid attraction with a "name" fighter on the card.:-(
:rofl:rofl:rofl One or two WW fights and every body else is gonna be 125lb grown men.:rofl:rofl Willie Neslon..LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
If it's the Will Nelson I'm thinking it is, I went to high school with the cat and watched him beat the **** out of someone in the hallways when he had a cast on his hand from breaking it in an amateur fight. Tall, lanky, Irish-looking white dude who boxed amateurs around here. We'll see if it's the same guy. Yeah! Me and my brother are going. What're the plans for a pre-fight ESB meet-up?
:rofl No ****!!! LOL! I didn't expect it to be the bomb or nothing, but got dayum!! LOL:rofl All I know to do is laugh, so I don't f*ckin' cry!
Well, most of the folks filling those seats won't know the difference. The more windmills the better. :-( There is also the screening of the Cotto fight. I wish they would throw Duddy in there also. Not really a lot of money to put this card on. Not a lot of gate and Arum probably isn't expecting a great PPV. Pavlik is taking a pay cut to do this for the locals as it is. In the end, "it is what it is".
Well, like I said above, the more windmills the better for this crowd. Even the 'sophisticated' fans on ESB though Froch/Pascal was an "exciting fight". Maybe the expect the smaller guys to throw lots of punches?
Perfect! Still gonna see about the plans. We're gonna have to factor weather and stuff too. Hermit is the man.
I feel sorry for the Ohio boxing fans that are going to this. NYC gets a decent, potentially explosive undercard and YT gets a bunch of (3-2 1KO) fighters? I'd be pissed.. I wonder why Arum did this, it would've been better for everyone to balance it out.
Well, so far, it just looks like the three of us. I'll PM you my cell number before the fight. We will go out and get something to eat and then head down would be my guess. Not a lot of suspense there.
