I think this could be pavliks best fight if he beats taylor again, abrahams has a massive heart but not really tested in the US yet.
The guy has some power that he sets up with big ass haymaker type swings. Kelly will KO him in between wind-ups.:yep
for the life of me, i can't understand how people rate abraham so highly. yes, he's pretty skilled and has good power but he fights in shorts bursts. the one live fighter he took on, miranda, broke his jaw and had him running the whole fight. those pt deduciton were dubious at best. miranda got jobbed imo. pavlik would destroy him by overwhelming him with punches.
Pavlik wins this one in the mid to late rounds. I dont think Abraham fights very well backing up, and he is not going to back Pavlik up a whole lot. Crushing right would seal the deal. I would love to see this fight. Hopefully well get it in the near future
Pavlik/Abraham is a fight that top Rank is talking about, and it is one Pavlik wants because he wants to unify the titles. However, Abraham is about on the same level with Zuniga, or Zertuche. Pavlik knocks Arthur out in 6 rounds after a one-sided beat down. I've already posted an analysis many times. The bottom line is that Pavlik is a stylistic nightmare for AA; possibley the worst nightmare he will ever have. The problem is he won't be sleeping until the nightmare ends! Boo
Miranda was on the backfoot all the time, he needs to be coming forward to get any leverage in his shots
Pavlik v Abraham would be a hell of a fight... For Pavlik to win, he would need to keep his jab going, maintain a safe distance, and keep up a high workrate. If he elects to brawl with Abraham, he'll likely find himself on the canvas.
I don't know why people are still stuck on that knock down, this is boxing and if you get careless you'll get knocked down. So called boxing experts forget that Jermain has good speed and power. He didn't get many ko's recently because he fought Hopkins, Winky, and Spinks, all very good defensive fighters. Abraham is not on Taylor's level.
