    Pavlik by KO before 8.

I think Pav will carry his power up, and if B Hop can put Slappy on his ass, im sure Pavlik can.

I think Joe is a great fighter, fast hands and moves in and out nice and quick, but i dont see Pavlik covering up so Joe can slap him.

Yeah you can say Kessler was handed a boxing lesson, and even say Kessler and Pavlik fight kinda the same with the solid jab and right coming through.

But ill take Pavlik by KO due to him keeping the correct distance between him and Joe and hammering the one two, if it aint broke , dont fix it.

I say Joe wins this one. With Joe Pavlik wont have as much of a height advantage as he has had with other boxers.

Its gonna take something special to beat JC, and at this point in time Pavlik is not that something special quite yet....

Calzaghe tasted Bernards power and decided it wasnt enough to frighten him....

not sure that the same will be said if Pavlik gets a piece early. Sticks and stones may broke my bones...BUT KELLY PAVLIK IS A ****ING FREIGHT TRAIN...ok so my rhyming is a little off...

dont worry - I looked up those stats before I posted.

JC stance is very upright and will appear taller than the other fighters. The tallest person Pavlik has faced was Jermain Taylor who due to his stance will seem shorter than JC.

Pavliks stance is also quite upright.

Joe may well be over 6'

I pick Calzaghe but I think this fight makes sense now. Pavlik would be a live underdog.

I'll take Pavlik - but, i dont think he'll stop JC. I think he'll dominate him with long 1-2's and pick up plenty of rounds.. but can't see him stopping JC.

put it this way, kessler couldnt stop calzaghe, kessler is a big hitter, as big as pavlik, so i think calzaghe should win this.since he wasn't phased by kessler's power.

    Calzaghe by decision.

Pavlik isn't any better or worse then Kessler in my opinion.

Pavlik by KO all the way.
I reckon after about 7 or 8 rounds Calzaghe goes down for good.

Pavlik by KO imo. To much power and I think Calzaghe wasnt too impressive against B Hop. Would be a great fight though.

I will tip Joe by close UD by way of great work rate....if Pavlik can catch him it may slow Joe down but then Joe got hit with 3 or 4 great shots from Kess and walked right through them.

Apart from a few youtube clips I haven't seen much of Pavlik, and I must admit I get the feeling he's the latest US hype-job - obviously he has something going for him, but it's the almost desperate way the partisan US fans latched onto him that makes me wary.

I'd say Joe wins, even though I haven't seen a full Pavlik fight, based on his workrate, unorthodox style, and general fight experience - Pavlik's still coming along, whereas Calzaghe has been around for a long time.
