The more i think about this fight the more i really want to see it. Froch does have the power to hurt the The Messiah (Pavliks new nick after destroying the force that is Gary Lockett!). Infact this would just be an all out slugfest for as long as it lasts....and IMO its a pick'em fight

Froch has a good chin, but uses it as a first line of defence.

He has the power to have the punchers chance that Lockett didn't have (and is significantly better than Lockett), but if he doesn't get to Pavlik early he'd take way too many flush shots. If he landed a big uppercut early he could take Pavlik out. That's the only way he wins IMO.

    Cobbler, what about Miranda-Froch??
That to me is a match more in sync with reality

    More realistic certainly.

Problem with Froch is he is to a degree unexposed, due to the underwhelming nature of his opposition so far.

Miranda has fought twice at world level and come up short both times. So, if Froch is as good as he thinks he is, he should win.

His chin looks good but he gets hit too much. Can he rely on his chin at a higher level - we don't know. Does he have a plan B if a good opponent can take his shots and keep coming - we don't know.

I consider Miranda overrated by a lot of people, but he'd be a step up for Froch.

Fair enough however this fight is very realistic if Miranda beats Abraham, Miranda-Froch would be for the vacated belt....I honestly havent seen enough of Froch to make a fair judgement but one thing I do know is that Miranda is not a guy where I would want my chin being my main form of defense....:deal

Took the words right out of my mouth. Pavlik's right hand would find a home with regularity.

I love punchers, so this fight would be up my street. Pavlik would time his jab to keep Froch at bay. Froch would get hit a lot by Pavlik's rights and stopped on accummulation. Pavlik TKO 9.

Pavlik is too good for Froch. Froch needs to prove himself as a contender against someone like Miranda before such a fight could be considered.

    Pavlik by late rounds stoppage.

Ive stated before that Pavlik is still a work in progress, and a good one in that, but Froch has yet to step up despite all his talk.

    Pavlik in 10

I think it would be a very difficult fight for Pavlik, he would have to take some power shots from Froch and might even have to get up from the canvas to win, but I think Pavlik will win by late KO, he would exploit Froch's low left hand.
But I would not be suprised if Froch knocked Pavlik out.
