I'm still waiting on Froch vs Bute ... Pavlik should stay at middleweight.

If Lockett was 168 you would have picked him over Pavlik.

No. I pick a select few at SMW, and they are logical picks.

  6. I made this same statement a fortnight ago!!!!!!!

P.S. Who's the hotness in your Avatar? :good

I thought you and Amsterdam didn't have Pav top 10 at smw not that long ago? :huh Lockett victory must have impressed you?

I don't have him top 10, he hasn't done anything yet. Beating a middleweight at 168 who has also done nothing at the weight doesn't improve his ranking. See, unlike these shitty ABC's I can't rank somebody that has done nothing relevant to the divison in the top 10. Anything can happen when you move up in weight, and its unfair on other guys

Just like I don't have David Haye a top 10 heavyweight

He would beat a few in the top 10 though, obviously

Yeah. Miranda hasn't fought 'anybody' at 168 and Taylor has done less so far, so really hard to make comparisons. I heard my prediction of Mundine being promised a shot at Sturm is 'in the works'. Still, too little cross pollination between weights and continents to get a clear picture.

    Uneducated?

A natural powerpunching supermiddle with one punch power fighting a guy that hasn't fought a supermiddle of any note, and has been hurt by lesser punchers at middleweight and shown defensive flaws?

Yeah, I can see what a ridiculous pick that is :patsch

It's easy to pick Pavlik due to the difference in competition, but if fights were won like that we'd all be millionaires and the bookies would be bankrupt.

  12. Actually everyone this is very accurate and quite true. Froch tends to land quick single bombs from funny angles (hence the name Cobra) Pavlik works on accumulation and can be put down.

You do bring up valid points about the stylistic matchup but, let talk most likely outcome here, say if you were to repeat this fight over 10,000 times what do you think the most likely outcome would be ?

To land his punch, Froch has to get past the jab. Pavlik would have a field day landing that right. Still, Froch would have a puncher's chance.

    Pavlik TKO...45%
    Pavlik wide UD...35%
    Froch KO...20%

    IMO
