I have no need to put you in any place!

I just pointed out that it sounded like you haven´t seen more of kessler than the Calzaghe fight based on your previous post (and I was right as it seems).

It would be like stating that Pavlik has a glass chin because he was dropped by Taylor!

The orthodox jab is pretty much the least effective punch against southpaws.

Hopkins had the style to beat Calzaghe and it showed in their fight even though he was 43 years old. Pavlik doesn't have the style to beat Joe at all.

Your words were "Kessler hasn't faced Kelly's competition". Nothing else. Maybe you can see the error in your ways :yep

Hopkins is a defensive counterpuncher in his old age, and I never changed that. I used Kessler as the perfect example of a fundamentally sound fighter, and that he is. Sorry if reading comprehension is not your strong point...

Kessler has very sound fundamentals. Stiff jab, great right hand, high guard, okay footwork and decent power. That is a technically sound, but fairly one dimensional fighter. He is the perfect case in point for this style , if ever there was one

I honestly can't take the rest of that seriously, when you are talking about defence. Pavlik's defence is horrible. Didn't you see him get hit by about a dozen power punches en route to the canvas? Have you not seen him wobbled throughout his career? Even Gary Lockett, a D class fighter tagged him on occasion. Kessler has only been hurt by one body shot, and rarely tagged until he faced an elite. This is Pavlik's main weakness, and with that I've lost faith in your ability to analyze a fighter to even a slightly credible degree

As such, I'll depart as this is a waste of time.

Kessler completely shut Andrade down. He's really good and would give Kelly a very good fight. That would be a great matchup.

Kelly would smoke Miranda in even shorter order than he did before.

i'd pick Kessler, by late stoppage. Pavlik is getting overhyped on here.

This is a fan based board. Where else would you hype a guy that is 34-0 with 30 KO's and undisputed world champ?

I agree with the others dude, you're assessment of Kessler is way, way off. You clearly haven't seen much of his fights. Kessler's fundamentals are superb, if anything he's a little too orthodox and predictable. Technically he's better than Pavlik. Rather than being overexcited, Kessler is a very cautious boxer. He picked Siaca apart for every minute of eight rounds when he clearly could have destroyed him if he threw caution to the wind. And I'm not sure what you call inside boxing, but Kessler never fights on the inside. Pavlik might have it over him in power. I think Kelly is quite good but I think people over look that his legs buckled at one point against Miranda. I'd pick Kessler to win on points 8 rounds to 4 vs Pavlik.
