Kessler didn't brutally take apart Sartison. Nothing brutal about it. He just beat him convincingly.

and anyways Kessler already has a mandatory defence so he is not available for Pavlik

 

Kessler would beat his slapheaded ass all over the ring, obviously.

However, there is much water to pass under the bridge. He has to get past Mary, and provided he does that he has another 50/50 with The King to prove he is the best in his own division before taking on SMW's best.

unfortunately kessler took on an obscure euro opponent after calzaghe, so that doesn't really help him stay in the 'mainstream spotlight', especially when guys like hopkins and pavlik are guys who have a solid US fanbase - and this is the problem both kessler and calzaghe have had in their careers.

problems they have made themselves - because both consciously decided to fight B grade fighters in their own hometown.

for this reason, kessler (although he has HBO backing) doesn't help himself by rejecting a miranda fight and then taking a relative stiff in his place so he can hold a 'belt'.

that doesn't garner respect against top flight opposition, it doesn't help him build momentum in the US with his marketability and fanbase, and so i think pavlik and hopkins deserve to fight each other. kessler hasn't earned it.

The same thing everyone has said before almost every fight Pavlik has been a part of.

it´s the same old song...kessler is european,thats why he dont got the big fights!!
if you ask joe c,who´s gave him the hardest fight between kessler and hopkins,he would say kessler!!
BUT HOPKINS IS AMERICAN,so he can sell tickets.it´s a joke that old hopkins got that fight with pavlik,he have just lost for **** sake!!!
but kessler is young and will gets the fights he deserve....
what hopkins deserve, is to retire!! he have just lost a fight,and is to ****ing old!!i guess pavlik got a good paycheck,since he took that fight!!
in about 2 years, kessler will be intertaining everybody...so just hate him now.He will come back!

 

Kessler, in fighting guys who are not strong, dynamic punchers who throw straight, has for years, got away with a huge flaw of moving straight backwards, rather than laterally.

This, against Pavlik, would cost him a KO loss.

 

What's so great about Kessler that Kelly has 'step up' to him? Kessler couldn't beat a fading Calzaghe, the same guy that called out Pavlik and then ducked him. :deal

Kessler was beating Calzaghe until Joe's brain kicked in and stopped fighting toe to toe. Pretty handily in fact :deal

Pavlik doesn't have the boxing brain that Joe does, and would come off on the losing side. Kessler has a decent beard and can bang - I see a close but clear UD.
