Pavlik will walk Mundine down. Pressure , pressure , pressure. He out reaches Mundine so for Mundine to win he has to land more meaning he has to step into range , land, get away with out being tagged for 12 rounds. Mundine has good skills, not in Hopkins league though, but more importantly he has nothing like the power of Hopkins to keep Pavlik from pressuring him at will. Pavlik stops Mundine, or floors him a couple of times and convinces him his 3rd sport to turn pro in is Track.
My thoughts exactly. Whilst Mandy is good, he ain't Nard. He doesn't have enough power to trouble Pav, he'll have a few slick moments, but Pav would eventually dominate this one.
Hey guys, what chance do you reckon is of Mundine fighting on the Jones - Hopkins undercard? Remember before/after the Green - Jones fight, Roy said he had planned to have Choc on the undercard. So if he said that then, why not have him on the undercard now since the fight is actual going ahead? I reckon the chances are close to zero, but hey, it's an opinion definitely worth pursuing to estabish a profile in the States.
I doubt it will happen. When Russell Crowe organized for Mundine to meet Delahoya there were also talks of Mundine fighting on a Delahoya card. That fell through and my guess is that it's because Mundine wasn't willing to fight harder fights over there for less. Face facts guys...Mundine's happy with his budgy little bum fights thing he's got going on, and it isn't about to change. :yep
You're probably right, but it's funny based on the BRW top 50, if Choc isn't making about $1m from three fights in Aus in one year, which included the Geale fight (a reasonable local stoush), why not travel to the states a take a small loss? I'm sure he'll get make some good revenue from an Aussie PPV buy perspective at least.
I can't see Mundine fighting in any foreign country, unless a title of sorts is on the line. The Yanks would pay F.A attention to him unless he matched up against above average opposition on the undercard... Risk for Mundine= any fighter with a heartbeat/talent from the USA.
News today that the Martinez fight is looking shaky....problems with cash atsch Mundine is still a chance.....and I quote..."Mundines name has not gone away" :happy
Now finish the entire quote; "For **** sake, Mundines name has not gone away far enough from ESB" :tong
good luck Ash:goodhope he proves all us haters wrong and smashes the ghost.his record at MW suggests Choc will have to outbox him for 12 for a UD.possible IMO.
Mundine needs a big fight to get back in the mix,he should have pushed to get in the super 6 comp.No reason why he could not win,he is at the same level as the guys in it.
There is also talk of Pavlick fighting Matt Macklin from the uk,this would be a mismatch. If Pavlick wants a real fight then get Mundine in,The Americans Know of him,we know of him europe after the Kessler fight and it would sell out in Aus so why not.I would watch it.
Its official....your my favourite overseas poster.....keep up the good work :good Mundine has been trying to get Pavlik for ages....problem is Bob Arum says "Mundine who".....I know its crap but for some reason they think Mundine V Pavlik wont sell :huh It would be huge if the fight was in AUST....they would get 30,000 plus through the gate....so many people would line up to see Mundine get smashed.
