Pavlik Vrs Abraham needs to happen or boxing is a joke

I like Pavlik, but he &/or his team are definitely the only ones at fault for this... it makes pavlik look very, very bad.... anyways, i think pav will lose this one if they ever meet.

 

Because he, like most of us, thought hopkins was done and could get knocked out.

Bull**** -- Abraham looked fine against Oral. He showed zero signs of being weight drained. This is the guy who made voluntary defenses against Elvin Ayala, LuJaun Simon, Mahir Oral, and even fought Shannon Taylor immdediately after Taylor got his ass kicked by Raymond ****ing Joval!

Sauerland will NEVER let Pavlik near Abraham. Show me ONE guy on Abraham's resume' that can both bang and box a bit. Sauerland does not let Arthur fight guys like that. AA's promoter did a brilliant job of using Kelly's name to bring global attention to AA. And THAT is all he did. His so called "negotiations" consisted of a series of press releases, and nothing more.

 

I've been following this situation closely, some might say obsessively, since right after Pavlik won the titles. Because Pavlik and Arum do not run their mouths in the press constantly like Sauerland and Abraham do, lots of people assume everything is their fault. Kelly was quite frank when he was on OTG radio. He said he will not take a cut in pay to fight Arthur. Abraham is just a challenger who holds a title Jermain Taylor vacated. Arum talks like Sauerland wants The Champ to take the small end of the money.

If Sauerland and Abraham truly want the fight, where is there offer? What were the dollar amounts? What venue did they propose? What date and time? Glove weight? Ring Size? PPV? HBO? Showtime? Arum/Sauerland co-promote their own PPV? Where exactly is this offer to fight, and what are the details? It doesn't exist.

Sturm was more realistic about money. If you want to fight The World Champion, in any division, you generally have to either work cheap, or be able to sell PPV buys and put asses in seats. If you come in asking for a pay day twice what you normally make, and you're not a draw, you won't get the fight. That is a simple business matter.

 

How do you know Sturm was more realistic about money:huh? Because arum said so or are you pavlik's chief financial negotiator. BULL****! I don't buy that for a SECOND! Scum like arum is what is ruining boxing, I will also add sauerland, since he is well in arums footsteps.
So what happened to "building his name up" Boo? Does Sturm have a "built name" in the States? Again much BULL**** I don't believe for a second. The only person I feel sorry for is Pavlik and his fans, which includes me, he fights arthur, arum does not want ANY part.

 

Turn your brain back on! Clearly Sauerland and Abraham asked for an amount of money that cannot happen right now. So how do you make it happen? Build AA's profile in the USA so he is a bigger draw, and the fight generates more revenue. This is business 101. No - it's not even 101, it's ****ing junior high level!

Pavlik wouldn't be the first fighter whose confidence is gone after a schooling by Hopkins. Let's face it, Pavlik showed great stuff when he beat Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor but since then, he not lived up to the expectations he raised with these performances. There is no clear denial (or am I missing something?) about the rumors of alcohols problems.

 

What you have been following closely is whatever Arum says that makes Pavlik look good, that's the only thing you follow based on your comments regarding Abraham.

How the hell will they mention any of those when Arum and his people don't even want to negotiate?, these guys openly told them to **** off by telling them to be more popular in the US while considering Sturm, who isn't that popular in the US.

As soon as Abraham and his team claimed they're planning to move up, Pavlik and his team showed interest in the fight. The sad part is you backing that rubbish up and going far enough to say Abraham is running away from Pavlik. Last I remember it was Abraham talking a lot about being interested in Pavlik before the Hopkins ass whopping and even when he lost he STILL shows interest in the fight when he could just ditch him and find anyone else. Arum and his people want none of it and didn't allow negotiations to go that far to decide "Money, offers, HBO, showtime or whatever".
