Excellent! Now we need Pavlik to do the same, both parties stay good and healthy, so there's no bull **** "excuse" for either side, and we will all get the WAR we've been waitin' for. :yep

Hey Pipe! Ive been around. Not posting much lately, but I read up and get the scoop.

I dont see Abraham having trouble making the weight. No doubt he is a big dude, but Wegner runs a good camp from what I hear and wouldnt let his fighter be in trouble from weight issues (at least we would never know, Sauerland would just take a picture of Abraham in a bed with meds next to him and blame his cancelation on the flu :yep).

No offense, but as far as I remember he HAS been stuggling in several fights because of weight issues. Simply because he belongs in the SMW or LHW division.
Not even a great coach like Wegner can do something about that.

NB.: With struggling I mean having to fight VERY economically (taking rounds of etc.) in order to not tire out.

I think that so far the psychological dimension of this fight has been under considered, Consider the following:

You're Arthur Abraham, you're standing on the biggest stage in the world; Madison Square Garden on HBO. For the first time in 4 years you're the challenger, and mostly viewed as the under dog. You've just been introduced to a highly partisan pro Pavlik crowd. That wild ass music starts, and a man who has not alowed a middleweight to finish on his feet since 2002 comes walking out. He appears calm, resolute, intense, he's in the best shape of his life, he's ready to fight, and the crowd goes wild. "Kelly -- Kelly -- Kelly!" I have no idea what that would feel like, but it can't be good.

Pavlik has two fights with Taylor, a fight with BHop, and multple appearances on HBO. Arthur Abraham has Howard Eastman and Edison Miranda. These guys do not live in the same universe, and come fight night, that will show.

Actually, after what you said about Miranda prior to the Pavlik fight, I've wondered if there are specific symptoms that can be related to being weight drained, like a fever.

Bell rings, there are two people in the world. Oh, and some pesky ref guy in the margin. I wouldn't put too much into that. But, then again, it isn't me in there.

Mainly I was just trying to see if i could push a few buttons and stir **** up a little:yep

However, there is no doubt that this will be the most intense boxing situation Arthur has ever faced. KP, on the other hand, has already faced better fighters, and faced them on some of the biggest stages. I do think the psychological aspects are important.

i agree it will be unlike anything aa has seen. i posted the other day that the mora fight should be at the browns stadium and felt and still do that it would be real cool to see the fight there. i believe it was you or hermit who pointed out the tax situation in ohio and how that just wouldnt work. well i think the aa fight would be pretty legendary in terms of major mw showdowns if it were held there. can you imagine that? 10s of thousands in an outdoor stadium to watch a fight that has consumed so much debate on here and elsewhere??? i would think that the additional people who would pay for the aa fight as opposed to the mora fight may offset some of the tax burden ohio impose. maybe just wishful thinking tho...

I think the biggest effect there will be in the lead up to the fight.

And since we are really the same person, I guess I really screwed us/me/you up with that response. :rofl

Not wanting to sound like a ***, but you are missed. You have an inside step to the real "goings on" that most of us would cut off an arm for.:good Congrats to Miranda for the recent win BTW! No one can deny, a Miranda fight is a damned entertaining fight to say the least.

Part of the problem with that too was that even though those stadiums in Cleveland were built and paid for by the tax payers, they are now pretty much 'owned' by the teams and they didn't want the event. I forget which team said no for sure. Unclepaulie lives up that way and may be able to add some, except I haven't seen him around for a few days. Damned people with lives......

That **** cracked me up the other day! I asked if I could be a part of "You" (you and Boo) so we could form up a Pavlik Power Mega-Tron! :yep
