    EDIT: 3/29/2009

According to BILD's sources, this fight could happen on November 7th, in NY's Madison Square Garden, should Kelly Pavlik and Arthur Abraham win their Summer fight.

    Excellent news!

Pavlik by murder. Abraham is horribly overrated right now. The more i see of him, the worse he looks. he's just a strong dude. he reminds me of sam peter in that way :yep

he hasnt fought anyone with a pulse since miranda broke his jaw and had him running for the hills, a fight he should have lost imo. he wont leave his backyard either.

pavlik, on the other hand has fought top competition and just bulldozed miranda.

I see Pavlik taking Abraham slowly apart as the fight goes on...
Pavlik's jab will be the key once again. I don't think Abraham can sustain Pavlik's pace....

    :deal

But you would think by the reaction of posters around here because he managed to knock out the world class Ayala with 30 to go in the 12th that Pavlik would do best just to hand him the belts and duck him at all cost.

no way this guy lasts the distance ... he backs up in a straight line ... he's a brawler who can't fight going backwards ... terrible footwork ... terrible balance ... punches from his hip ... he's wild as hell too ... if he gets into an exchange with Pavlik .... one of those right hands will stop him in his tracks ... it doesn't matter what hand Pavlik finishes him with.

he's not a bum but he is not elite. he's solid like peter but nothing special.

he throws wide punches and pavlik's straighter bombs would land first. he will split that high guard pretty quickly. abraham can't fight going backwards or counter-punch and u better believe if pavlik can put taylor on his heels, he'll do the same to the King :yep

Abraham hasn't fought a guy as big as him since Miranda !
Look at the size difference with the last guys he faced...Abraham has a bulky frame and he'll have to move up in 2009.

he looks great knocking out bums just like peter did. put him in there with legit competition and u see the limitations.

Abraham is a similiar fighter to Miranda in that he's all power. Once you negate his power, he doesn't have much but a little more stamina than Miranda. Sure, he would have still won fight with Edison if Miranda hadn't headbutted and crotch-clocked Arthur through the later rounds, but it would have been a split decision win that boxing fans would have cried was nothing more than another Deutschland con job a la Sven Ottke versus...well, just about anyone. Pavlik will deflect the majority of Abe's shots, and has the stamina to take the rest. Look for a TKO somewhere between 7 and 9 if this fights goes down, although it seems like everything on Pavlik's side seems to be one big attempt to goad a superfight with Calzaghe instead.

please bet money on that ... because i would love for you to make that mistake and lose your money.

Pavlik KO5 ... Taylor and Miranda both have good beards and still got knocked out.
