Smurf girls are classic. I wonder if they'll ever come out of retirement, because smurf power rules!

To have some positive comments as well, in BS's video interviews both Kelly and trainer Jack Loew mentioned they are looking for the unification this year, Jack even said they'd go to Germany, if that's the best deal, so hopefully Team Pavlik will put some pressure on Papa Arum. Of course it's just an interview, but let's hope the unification comes to Arum's mind as well and leave the Williams-Wright winner for a later date.

I think the biggest wild card might be whether Sturm is serious about fighting Pavlik. I agree with those that think it was a tactic to avoid Abraham, but, you never know. AA offered him more than I think he would make against Pavlik. That said, if that fight offer is serious, it pretty much HAS to be taken if offered. With Sturm it would be a once in a life time deal.

Pavlik KO's AA! His pace will be 2 fast 4 AA and he won't be able 2 sit back and wait 4 kelly 2 get tired and slow down. Plus unlike Miranda kelly will break AA guard down by mixing it up between body and head, not just head hunt like miranda did. Kellys a brutal body puncher lets not 4 get. Thanks

Man it feels like just LAST March we were all excited about the potential of this fight. How time flies when two fighters just can't ever seem to come to an agreement.

Once Rubio is out of the way, this fight HAS to happen. There's little to nothing else of relevance in the MW division other than Abraham-Pavlik. No offense to the Sturm fans but he doesn't really have anything that makes me want to see him fight.

As per Paul Williams/Winky Wright Winner...Williams isn't going anywhere any time soon and even if Winky won, chances are he'd procrastinate over his pay for the fight and we'd be in 2012 wondering when Winky and Pavlik (now probably at LHW) will mix it up.

Just give me Abraham/Pavlik, JMM/Pac III, Clottey/Margarito II and Izzy/JML for 2009 and I'll be satisfied.

Well, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed with the latest 'confidential' news. Marley writes that Arum is planning a Felix Sturm unification, and not the Abraham superfight.

Marley? I wouldn't put much stock in what he says at all. Like I said before though, if this fight is offered, he almost has to take in when available. Then Abraham. If Sturm won't fight AA for double his biggest previous pay day, he isn't going to fight Kelly if/when he beats AA. For those looking unification, this may be the only chance. Personally, I think it is a stall from Sturm to avoid AA.

Someone just posted a thread asking why Mundine was ranked as Sturm's mandatory. :patsch I said when Mundine vacated for Kessler he was probably promised a shot at Sturm. Now it makes sense on WHY Strum is suddenly willing to talk to Pavlik's people. I think he knows the title won't be his much longer anyhow. Not sure why he didn't take the money AA offered though.......

Jack Loew just said on Bunce's Boxing Hour that after Marco Antonio Rubio, Kelly will fight John Duddy, so the Abraham fight is out of question for the upcoming months.

He also sad they made offers to the Abraham camp without getting any response which is pretty interested quote as both Arum and Sauerland confirmed that there were at least some negotions.

I'm very disappointed. Jack, who was class on the show, surely wants unification, but Bob Arum is simply went crazy. Saying Margarito is innocent, 'banning' California, refusing to negotiate Cotto-Mosley II, putting down these stupid PPVs and clearly doing anything to avoid Abraham. He's either completely lost it, or too smart to take ANY risk in a bad economy like this. Either way, boxing fans lose. Thx Bob!

Personally I think The Bob Father knows exactly what he is doing. He wants AA and Pavlik on the same card. That could happen in June at MSG. There is no doubt in my mind that AA will get past Simon in March. Giovanni Lorenzo is scheduled for yet another title elimantor on February 27th. Like Duddy he is a New York based fighter with a decent local following. This all means Pavlik, Duddy, Abraham, and Lorenzo would all have open dates available in June. Pavlik/Duddy and Abraham/Lorenzo at MSG would do big box office; definitely a sell out. I'm sure HBO would buy this card as well. Kelly and Arthur both come away looking like monsters, everybody makes money, and Pavlik/Abraham becomes a major boxing event rather than just another great fight hardcore fans want.

However, there are a few varibles involved in my scenario. We all know about Duddy's paper thin skin. If he turns into Bloody Duddy against Vanda, that would cause problems.

I don't think anybody knows for sure if Lorenzo can beat "the other Miranda." If Dioniso Mranda wins, that's a problem. He does not have much of a following.

In addition, we do not know how Winky will do against Williams. Winky, fresh off a win over Williams, would be a much bigger fight, and a much greater challenge, than Arthur Abrahm.
