Pavlik weighed 171 for Miranda. 169-171 is normal for him on fight night. I doubt if there is a nickels worth of size difference between these two, just very different physiques.

Could be, but for some time now I don't believe that is ever going to happen. Like Rafael said, there's no real competition in MW now to be able to build up Abraham, so no chance of a Taylor-Spinks/Pavlik-Pantera type of double-header. And if Arum was interested in putting money into a Kelly/Arthur card, it would've happened in October (obviously Calzaghe was on Top Rank's radar) or past Saturday. Abraham fighting Mora or Forrest on the Duddy undercard would be just as awful if Kelly was pummeling them.

I dare to say that Abraham's name is not much lesser known for the GENERAL public, than Kelly's was before the Taylor fight. The Miranda fight was the key for Pavlik, no doubt, but the Taylor fight was the real breakthrough for national popularity. Abraham pretty much got his key fight beating Miranda, a common opponent, much easier, on Showtime. And with no other possible big win to get, the breakthrough would be the World Middleweight Champion, just as it was for Kelly. But I think Top Rank is very well aware of the scenario, and that they can be on the receiving end this time.

Who has Abraham fought other than a B- fighter in Miranda? A shot Howard Eastman?! AA is the #2 middleweight no doubt but I must say Kelly fought the better opponents out of the two.

I've read that Abraham is willing to fight the winner of Winky/Williams.

Shot Eastman? It was the same Eastman that got beaten 8-4 rounds vs. Hopkins just a fight before he met Abraham...

The dog won't hunt. It was also the same version of Eastman that got sparked by Miranda in 7 rounds.

And a worse version of Hopkins that spanked Kelly. Cross-comparisons plainly suck....

I'll buy that. Especially considering the obvious lack of style similarities.

That'd make no sense at this point, with Abraham moving up in a few months, with or without the Pavlik fight. Abraham-Winky/Williams would be too soon for the the Duddy undercard, and I'm ABSOLUTELY, 10000% sure Winky or Williams would NEVER take that fight. Why would they do that, the winner will be in a great position at HBO for a Pavlik PPV, even if Wright/Williams will have to sit out the next 6-8 month after the April fight. Why would they risk a Gevoresque beating in a position like that?

we need unification, so it needs to happen. its about the only big fight out there at middleweight thats worth a damn. Duddy may bring in money, but he's certainly no challenge, and Wright is 38. Outside of Hopkins returning to 160, there's no other big fights out there at middleweight.

Abraham and Miranda have different styles too (but I admit that there styles are closer)

You're probably right. I can't really see Winky or Williams fighting Arthur to get at KP. Pavlik already tried to make both fights, but they both priced themselves out. The point being, we know he will fight either guy, and they know it too, so why take chances.

Yeah. But Abraham is willing to 'get a beating', and I think he wouldn't price himself out (took the Miranda fight for lesser money), so let Kelly and Arthur fight with the winner facing Winky or the Punisher!

Winky was too greedy for Kelly and Abraham either...
