That's exactly what you said about Taylor!

Right now I think Pavlik takes him to a UD. Abraham's punches seem too wide for Pavlik, who's much sharper in his technique. Plus I justy don't think he's good enough a counter puncher to keep up with Pav's activity.

Yes and I was wrong, maybe I'll be right this time. :D Big-time Taylor fan as you are a big fan of Pavlik so nothing shocking about my pick.

I'm annoyed that people think "Abraham's wild punches" won't land.

Abraham quits from either gettng very frustrated or from eating too much jab. I cant see Pavlik losing in this one. I hope to God that betting odds are close (based on AAs last fight) because this is easy money

Of course they will on occasion. But the nature of them, combined with AA's being more econimical with his punch choice, just doesn't paint as pretty a pitcher as someone who throws a lot more and is more accurate as well as a heavy hitter. AA's defense and toughness is his one true saving grace.

That's a reasonable and objective way to look at things. :good

Unlike some of the jagoffs here....

"Look at the height difference, AA will be lucky to land a punch" :nut

Yeah, there is too much of that. :-(

I do lean towards Pav, but only 60-40. Maybe even 55-44. Abraham is not one to look past or sleep on. He has good power, tight defense, and has shown he is tough as they come. And while a little wide, he's still very skilled in the technical department. I can't wait till this happens!

Good point. We know Abraham gets wild. If he feels he is behind because of the 'clam' he might feel he needs to finish strong.

I think you are going a tad overboard. Reach advantage here IS meaning full and Kelly has show he knows how to use it. He also doesn't try to avoid everything that comes his way. He will take a punch at the end of a guys range, which he CANNOT misjudge against AA.

My question is, do you think Pavlik could take Abraham's punch or how badly would he be hurt from a hayemaker?

Pavlik can take Abraham's punch, (can be floored too), but what Pavlik need avoid, is taking flush combinaison and showing too much pride in not taking a knee
